How MapleStory’s “Maple Day” Reshapes My Routine #뇌구조

Hello

The keyword for this post is brain structure, and I want to talk about the habits and patterns that changed after I got into this game.

With online games, keeping players logging in consistently is important, so they naturally push that through daily and weekly content and various events. Once you play a game on a regular cycle, the key in-game reset times inevitably start shaping your routine, and for me that became especially true after [Challengers World] opened.

So in this post, I gathered the main examples that fit that idea, and at the end I also put together a brief section where you can check only the content that resets at each time.

00:00 every day is when <daily content> resets

Daily reset screen

00:00 every day is when MapleStory's daily content resets. This applies to the following daily content.

Daily quests Monster Park

Daily boss list

The main examples are region-based daily quests, Monster Park, and daily bosses. Daily quests and Monster Park are both close to mandatory in practice, since one provides EXP and Symbols, while the other gives EXP and Monster Park Coins.

Arkarium Pink Bean

Daily bosses are relatively lower in priority, but Arkarium remains consistently popular because of its low-rate Dominator Pendant drop, and in [Challengers World] especially, Pink Bean is added to that list because it drops the Black Bean Mark, so these bosses tend to get cleared no matter what, and somehow that often leads to killing them right after midnight.

Symbol Quick Pass notice

However, Symbol Quick Pass cannot be used from 23:50 to 00:30.

Mileage notice

Mileage accrual is also only applied when you enter the Cash Shop on the same day that you claimed it. The claimable record itself does not disappear even if you do not claim it that same day, but once you do claim it, it will vanish if you do not actually have it accrued, so before it expires you need to enter the Cash Shop at least once, and the notification also explains this as shown below.

Mileage notification

In addition, the daily Mileage accrual cap is 10000, and the monthly Mileage accrual cap is 50000. Because of that, players who clear bosses on multiple characters often hold their Mileage claims and collect them all at once after the accrual cap has reset if they have already filled the limit.

MapleStoryM Mileage

MapleStoryM's Mileage daily quests also reset at 00:00. Since this can be accrued completely separately from the Mileage you can obtain in PC MapleStory, at 700 Mileage per day, it is quite valuable now that the need for Mileage has gone up through buff items and the Mileage Shop.

Daily GiftAttendance eventEvent skill

Daily Meso limit

Along with [Daily Gift], daily events also reset at 00:00. This includes daily attendance events and EXP skills triggered by defeating level-range monsters, and the daily Meso acquisition limit resets at the same time as well.

Monster Collection expedition

A large part of Monster Collection, especially Exploration Box expeditions, can also be treated as daily content since they operate on a 24-hour cycle.

Because all of this content resets together at 00:00, if you are busy, it is very common to log in around 11 PM, finish that day's tasks, and then keep going after midnight to clear the next day's Maple routine as well, effectively finishing two days' worth in one stretch. I especially remember doing that with a fixed party back when Monster Park Extreme was still daily content.

<Maple day>, now fully unified to Thursday

Thursday reset

In games, the weekday when major content participation resets is often nicknamed after the game itself as “~day,” and in MapleStory that is now firmly set as Thursday at 00:00.

Reset update

This full unification to Thursday only happened on June 19, 2025, so it has actually not been that long. Of course, major content like weekly bosses, guild content, and events had already been resetting on Thursdays before then, so Thursday had already functioned as Maple day either way, but with that update, Arcane River weekly content, Haven and Dark World Tree weekly content, and Union weekly quests were all fully standardized to Thursday as well.

Every Thursday at 00:00 is when <weekly content> resets

Weekly reset

Every Thursday at 00:00 is when MapleStory's weekly content resets. This applies to the following weekly content, and because these are generally much heavier pieces of progression than daily content, the Thursday reset always seems to bring a certain sense of anticipation with it.

Weekly bosses

The thing players look forward to most is, of course, weekly bosses, and in the case of this Challengers World in particular, the presence of Kaia makes that anticipation even stronger.

Guild contentEpic Dungeon

Other important weekly items, even if they are not especially exciting, include participating in guild content for Noble, Monster Park Extreme, and Epic Dungeon.

Weekly attendanceEvent rewardFairy Heart

Weekly attendance events also reset at this time, and since the high-value rewards only start being paid out after a few weeks have passed, the Fairy Heart from this attendance event is a representative example of the kind of reward that can raise combat power significantly in Challengers World, which naturally pushes expectations even higher.

Coin Shop

The event Coin Shop is also refilled at Thursday 00:00, so that becomes another point of weekly anticipation.

The 1st of every month is when <monthly content> resets

Monthly reset

At 00:00 on the 1st of every month, monthly content resets, and that currently applies to the Black Mage, the game's only monthly boss, as well as <Champion Raid>.

Mileage ShopShop reset time

In addition, for the Mileage Shop, the purchase count resets at 06:00 on the 1st of every month.
