Today, we’re continuing our guide to the Mapleland Snowflake Coin event quests. The Winter Preparations event also ends today, so if you haven’t finished the quests yet, be sure to complete them before tomorrow is over. Collect as many Snowflake Coins as you can so you can buy all the event items from Gaga. This time, we’ll cover Winter Preparations in Sleepywood, a quest you can pick up from Sabitrama.

Sabitrama

Sabitrama is an herb enthusiast known for sending players on a quest to fetch a strange herb. I don’t think I’ve visited him in quite a while—not since that quest. Let’s see what he has to say.

He immediately tells us there’s a serious problem involving Flame Herbs, the most precious medicinal herbs in Sleepywood. These plants generate their own heat and never freeze, even in cold snow. They’re the hardest herbs to find, but monsters have started gobbling them up. He wants us to recover the herbs before the monsters turn their feast into a mukbang.

He asks us to hurry into the dungeon and retrieve 5 Flame Herbs that the monsters have swallowed. With that, let’s head to the dungeon.

How to Get Flame Herbs

It’s been a while since I last visited the Ant Tunnel dungeon. Ant Tunnel 1 used to be the go-to spot in Sleepywood, with players around levels 15–30 coming here mainly to hunt in parties. I remember its popularity dropping considerably, though, as new maps and updates added more hunting grounds for beginners. For this quest, I hunted monsters until I had 5 Flame Herbs. Once I’d collected all 5, I headed back to Sabitrama.

Rewards

Back in Sleepywood, Sabitrama is surprised that I’ve already collected the Flame Herbs. He praises me for recovering them before the monsters could put on a mukbang. Still, I have to wonder: why were the monsters trying to eat such hot herbs in the first place?

That completes the Winter Preparations in Sleepywood quest, earning me 1 Snowflake Coin. Compared with the previous Victoria Island quests, this one awards a little more EXP—though it’s still only 800 EXP.

Gaga’s Shop

With the Snowflake Coin I’d earned, I bought another 2x EXP Coupon, bringing my total purchases to all 5 in stock. Now all that’s left is to head out and hunt. There are other good items in the shop, of course, but EXP is hard to come by...

Wrapping Up

That wraps up our look at Winter Preparations in Sleepywood. I wanted to complete the Winter Preparations quests on the continent of Ossyria as well, but I’m just not feeling well enough. Thankfully, I did manage to buy all the EXP Coupons. It’s a shame to miss out on the 4 extra inventory slots available for 2 Snowflake Coins, though—they’re quite tempting.
