Today, I’m continuing with the MapleLand Snowflake Coin event quests, and this time we’re heading to Perion. To start this one, you need to talk to the NPC Iyan. So for this post, let’s go over Perion’s Winter Preparations.

Iyan

The last quest I got from Iyan was Dangerous Croco. It feels like it’s already been about a year since I did that one, so let’s talk to Iyan again after a long while.

Iyan says the weather has been getting colder lately, and the people of Perion rely on warm campfires to get through the winter. Because of that, they try to gather as much firewood as possible and keep the embers from going out. The problem is that she accidentally let the campfire die. If Dances with Barlog finds out, she says she’ll be in serious trouble, so she asks the player for help.

To get the campfire going again, she asks you to bring her 5 Firewood with Embers. Just like before, she says monsters around Perion should be carrying them.

How to Get Firewood with Embers

From here, just head to a hunting map near Perion and defeat whichever monsters you want. Keep farming until Firewood with Embers drops. Thankfully, the drop rate doesn’t seem all that low.

Once Firewood with Embers appears, just pick it up. Keep hunting until you’ve collected all 5 quest items. After that, head back to Iyan.

Reward

When you return to Iyan, she thanks you and says this should be enough to get the campfire burning again. She’s in a hurry, too, since she wants to relight it before Dances with Barlog shows up.

She also says not to worry, because she knows how to light the campfire herself. After promising to be more careful not to let it go out next time, the quest ends. The reward is 1 Snowflake Coin and 70 EXP.

As usual, if you’ve got Snowflake Coins, it’s hard not to stop by Gaga’s Shop. I bought two more 15-minute 2x EXP Coupons again. That means I now have 2 purchases left on my account. I should probably use up the rest before the event ends. Next, I’ll have to move on and get ready for winter in the next area.

Wrapping Up

Today, we went over Perion’s Winter Preparations. If I collect enough Snowflake Coins, I should be able to buy out the rest of the account-limited items. Anyway, I’ll be moving on to the next quest guide soon. For that, it looks like I’ll need a total of 14 Snowflake Coins.
