Hello.

This post focuses on story skipping and introduces a story I recommend reading at least once instead of skipping.

For this post, I captured the current version of the <Magatia> storyline from beginning to end. I also included images from other content to provide additional context for some of the details mentioned along the way.

As of February 2026, improvements to story skipping let you skip stories without viewing them or meeting any other prerequisites. The only exception is Tallahart, the current highest-level region.

Before We Begin

1) Magatia's storyline currently falls in the level 85 range, making it awkward to fit into your leveling progress.

2) Recent improvements have made the quest requirements much easier to meet. A playthrough now takes around 30 minutes if you read everything, or about 15 minutes if you skip the text. Travel routes have been shortened, and the map that once required navigating a dark maze is now a straight path.

3) Magatia is said to be the first storyline to mention the Black Mage. Although it was released a long time ago, it has earned considerable praise for its storytelling. It is self-contained, so you do not need any other background knowledge. Even if you go in knowing nothing about Magatia, a general idea of who the Black Mage is will be enough to follow the entire story.

4) I have kept my personal opinions out of the sections below. If you enjoy the story, you may find that reading other people's impressions afterward adds to the experience.

The choice is yours, and your reward depends on whom you choose.
