It’s been quite a while, but I’m back with another Mapleland quest guide. This one feels a little overdue, but let’s give it a go anyway. We’ll be looking at Wing the Fairy’s quest, Ellinia’s Winter Preparations.

Wing the Fairy

When you speak to Wing the Fairy, he asks if you have something to say to him. Your character replies that their name isn’t “human”—it’s Too1s.

He seems to recognize that it’s a funny name, too. He says human names are all much the same, so there’s no point remembering them. Then he tells you to leave if you don’t need anything. (Your name isn’t all that special either...)

When you ask whether he gets cold too, he admits that he does. You suggest that he could just wear thicker clothes.

He explains that thick clothes would be too heavy for him to move around in. Clothes made from fluff as light as air might work, though, so you ask where to find it.

Wing the Fairy says you’re being a nuisance and explains that this fluff is very rare and hard to find. Before winter arrives, fairies gather 5 pieces of this air-light fluff to make clothes.

He insists that he doesn’t ask humans for favors, but if you really want to help, you can do as you please. Just remember: he never asked. (A textbook tsundere, isn’t he?) How kind of him to put up with your conversation and even let you do him a favor.

He says you’re free to help, but warns that it won’t be easy. The fluff is so light and transparent that it’s hard to see. You can get it by defeating the monsters that live in Ellinia’s tall trees.

How to Get Fluff

To collect the fluff, hunt any of the monsters in Ellinia. The drop rate is about average, but a few minutes of hunting should be enough to get all 5 pieces. Since any monster in Ellinia will do, gathering them is straightforward.

Rewards

Bring all 5 pieces back to Wing the Fairy. He says he’ll accept them since you went to the trouble of collecting them, and tells you to leave them with him. He doesn’t refuse—he just insists that he’s accepting them out of consideration for your effort. He really is the biggest tsundere among the MapleStory characters.

Your rewards are 1 Snowflake Coin and 70 EXP. The EXP isn’t the important part here—that 1 Snowflake Coin is the real prize.
