The Cafe Dessert Fair (카디페) took place in Ilsan this week.

I love cafes and desserts, so I visit 카디페 and the Cafe Show every year, but unfortunately, this year

the dates didn't work with my schedule, so I couldn't make it to 카디페... ㅜㅜ

It's a bit of an unusual substitute, but I thought I'd share some of the desserts you can find in DNF instead.

Creature Cookie

Chocolate chip cookies are cookies with chocolate chips mixed in, and they're often the first kind that comes to mind when you think of cookies. They were first made around 1938 by Ruth Wakefield in Massachusetts, USA. Like most chocolate treats, they go nicely with milk or a milky coffee, such as a latte.

First up is a cookie.

This item is used to evolve your creature's skills.

It certainly looks like a chocolate chip cookie.

The shape reminds me of Orion's 촉촉한 초코칩 cookies, though

judging by the color, I'd imagine this one has a slightly crispier outside.

Something like this?

Suspicious Takoyaki

One of Japan's signature street foods, made by cooking flour batter with finely chopped octopus, green onions, cabbage, and beni shoga into balls, then topping them with bonito flakes and sauce.

With “takoyaki” right there in the name, there's no doubt about what this is.

It looks very much like the Gindaco takoyaki

I had on my recent trip to Japan.

Canna's Homemade Bread

A bagel is a ring-shaped bread made by briefly boiling flour dough in water before baking it.

This is a consumable you get from opening a Sealed Lock.

Whether it's a doughnut or a bagel is open to debate, but

judging by the yellow bits scattered on top and that hint of what looks like green in the middle,

my guess is a cheese and spinach bagel.

They look pretty similar, don't they?

Or does it look more like a chocolate doughnut with sprinkles?

Then again, this is a healing potion... Shouldn't eating lots of something this sweet make your HP go down instead...?

Canna's Homemade Castella

A type of sponge cake made by mixing eggs, flour, sugar, honey, and other ingredients, then baking it in an oven. While other sponge cakes tend to be a little dry and need whipped cream, castella is soft and moist enough to enjoy on its own, without any cream.

This one is definitely castella—no room for debate here.

It's a consumable you can only get from a Crystal Sealed Lock.

The stamp of Canna's face makes me think the illustration was inspired by Taiwanese castella, but

looking at the cut surface and the slice,

it feels much more like Japanese-style castella.
