This week, the Cafe Dessert Fair (Kadife) was held in Ilsan.

I love cafes and desserts, so I go to Kadife and Cafe Show every year, but unfortunately this time

the schedule didn’t line up, so I couldn’t make it to Kadife.. ㅜㅜ

So instead—odd substitute that it is—I thought I’d introduce some of the desserts you can find in DNF.

Some of the food descriptions were taken from Namuwiki.

Creature Cookie

A chocolate chip cookie is, as the name suggests, a cookie with chocolate chips in it. It’s probably the kind most people picture first when they think of cookies, and it was first created around 1938 by Ruth Wakefield in Massachusetts, USA. Like most chocolate-based sweets, it goes well with milk or a milky coffee such as a cafe latte.

The first snack is a cookie.

It’s an item used to evolve a creature’s skill.

Anyone can see this is basically a “chocolate chip cookie.”

The shape looks like Orion Choco Chip Soft,

but judging by the color, I feel like the outside would have more of a crisp chocolate chip cookie texture.

Something like this?

Suspicious Takoyaki

A Japanese dish made by cooking flour batter into round balls filled with chopped octopus, green onion, cabbage, and beni shoga, then topping them with bonito flakes and sauce. It’s one of Japan’s signature street foods.

As the name already tells you, this is unmistakably takoyaki.

You can tell it looks very similar to the Gindaco

I had on a recent trip to Japan.

Kanna’s Handmade Bread

A bagel is a ring-shaped bread made by boiling the dough briefly and then baking it.

This is a consumable item you can get from Sealed Lock.

You could argue a little over whether it’s a donut or a bagel,

but based on the yellow bits scattered on top and that faint bit of green in the middle,

I think it might be a cheese + spinach bagel.

Pretty similar, right?

Or does it look more like a chocolate donut with sprinkles?

Still, since this is a heal potion... if you eat something this sweet, shouldn’t your HP go down instead..

Kanna’s Handmade Castella

It’s a kind of cake sheet baked in an oven from a mixture of eggs, flour, sugar, honey, and similar ingredients. Other cake sheets tend to be a bit dry, so they’re usually eaten with whipped cream, but castella is moist and soft enough to enjoy on its own even without it.

This one is castella, no debate there.

It’s a consumable item that only comes from Crystal Sealed Lock.

Judging by the Kanna face mark printed on it, it looks like the illustration was based on Taiwanese castella,

but if you look at the cut surface and the slice,

it feels a lot more like Japanese-style castella.
