Hello!

Your Nexon Picker 피스타임 here!

Know what day January 21 is?

It's Squirrel Appreciation Day!

American wildlife enthusiast Christy Hargrove

created the day in 2001 to show that squirrels are more than just cute animals:

they store seeds in forests, helping new trees grow,

help keep ecosystems in balance, and live alongside us

as our wild neighbors—even through the winter.

Which Nexon game comes to mind when you think of squirrels?

For me, it's Nexus: The Kingdom of the Winds.

Nexon, unleash the squirrels!

Squirrels in Nexus: The Kingdom of the Winds

You know 바람의나라 클래식 launched in November 2024, right?

I played a ton back then and even worked my way up to 술사.

To celebrate Squirrel Appreciation Day, I logged back in for the first time in a while.

The squirrels in Nexus: The Kingdom of the Winds

were a great source of EXP for beginners.

There were so many players that there just weren't enough squirrels to go around,

and the player's cry of “Nexon, unleash the squirrels!” is still famous today.

I've even seen that line pop up in 바람의나라 클래식.

Squirrels in Nexus: The Kingdom of the Winds give beginners EXP

and the acorns they need to learn their first spells,

so they really are like the Giving Tree.

We should show these little squirrels some love in real life, right?

Just as precious as squirrels:

My pets

My pets in Mabinogi Mobile are just as cute as squirrels, too.

My first Legendary pet, 빙결이, is a Light Gray Raccoon.

My second pet, which I pulled during the Sanrio collab,

is a Pompompurin Lover Shih Tzu.

The best part? Pudding pops out when you touch it!

I also have a Brown Bear Cub, a favorite among Mabinogi Mobile players (for its performance).

It wears a skirt, hence the affectionate nickname “Skirt Bear.”

Lying down and rolling around is its specialty.

So, in honor of Squirrel Appreciation Day today,

I've introduced you to some creatures from Nexon games that are just as cute as squirrels.

If you have a little someone you treasure, tell me about them!
