To welcome the 2026 New Year, I checked my fortune and opened a fortune cookie message too.

It’s all just for fun, of course, but they can be surprisingly accurate, so I do like to check them now and then.

Today, I decided to play Mabinogi Mobile based on the results!

Lately, I’d been debating whether I should raise a fifth character.

None of my characters are in the healer line,

and I also need to work on the all-rounder achievement, so I’d been thinking about making an alt.

Still, I hesitated because I wondered if raising five characters might be a bit too much.

But when my fortune said it was a good time to start something new, I found myself oddly tempted by the idea even more.

Effort never betrays you. I believe in your sincerity. I’m cheering you on.

That little message gave me a boost—it made me feel like good results would come if I put in the effort!

Even if things get a little busier, I decided to go ahead and raise an alt +_+

Starting My Alt for Real!

If you already have a main character, your alt can start from level 23.

I’m planning to play as a healer in the end, but

I first advanced to Dark Mage so I could pick up the Dark Mage advancement achievement first!

Compared to before, a lot more quests get skipped now, so progression felt pretty smooth.

Early on, I definitely felt short on silver coins.

It also made me think, just a little, that I should’ve created this character earlier.

Lately I’ve been short on Transcendence Engraving materials, but since I can collect them on an alt and move them into storage,

if you’ve been thinking about it too, this might be a good chance to raise one.

Goals Achieved?

As it happened, I reached Fishing level 25 today!

I’d been stuck at level 20 for almost half a year..!

This time, I really committed to it and kept fishing whenever I had time.

Finally hitting level 25 felt so satisfying.

I can visit a new fishing spot now,

and I can finally make spicy sea bass soup myself too. ^-^v

I’d been buying it from the marketplace with Deca this whole time!

Today especially felt like one of those days when everything just worked out.

I guess my fortune really did line up perfectly after all!

So that was Mobinogi, trying out a play session based on a fortune cookie and my fortune!
