Today, I'm returning to Mapleland for my first quest in quite a while. I haven't been feeling well lately, so I've barely logged in to Mapleland outside of special events. Still, I'm fond of the game and plan to keep playing. This time, I'll walk you through Nanuke's A Nutritious Snack for the Huskies quest on Snowy Whale's Island in Aquarium.

Nanuke

When you visit Snowy Whale's Island, Nanuke introduces herself. She explains that few people visit this remote island, where she lives and raises huskies. Once she learns that you are an adventurer, she asks for a favor.

Click Accept, and she thanks you for agreeing to help. She explains that she has run out of the food she brought from El Nath. Seal meat is very nutritious, so she asks you to bring her just 50 Seal Meat for her huskies.

Freezer and Sparker Hunting Grounds

Seal Meat drops from two monsters found in Aquarium: Freezer and Sparker. They are level 42 and 43, respectively, so neither is particularly high-level. They spawn frequently in hunting grounds such as Forked Road: West Sea and Conch Shell Hill, as well as Red Coral Forest, which is close to Snowy Whale's Island. Seal Meat has an estimated drop rate of around 60%, so it is fairly easy to collect.

Seal Meat on 메랜지지

Seal Meat sells for 500 to 1,000 mesos each on 메랜지지. Buying all 50 would therefore cost around 25,000 to 50,000 mesos. As mentioned earlier, though, the drop rate is fairly reasonable, so there is little need to go out of your way to buy it on 메랜지지. I recommend saving your mesos and collecting it by hunting instead.

Rewards

Once you have collected all 50 Seal Meat, Nanuke praises your efforts and rewards you with 50 Dried Squid consumables and 10,000 EXP.

The Dried Squid is her way of thanking you for bringing her the Seal Meat. She invites you to stop by for a rest whenever you get tired during your travels, and the quest ends there.

Dried Squid has no special effects; it is simply a consumable that restores around 600 HP. By comparison, Red Potions restore around 50 HP, Orange Potions 150, and White Potions 300. That makes Dried Squid a useful healing item for anyone other than Clerics and Priests.



Closing Thoughts

That covers A Nutritious Snack for the Huskies. The quest is moderate in difficulty, and the rewards are fairly standard, with nothing particularly substantial on offer. If you are visiting Aquarium, I recommend taking it on while hunting Freezers or Sparkers.
