Just thinking about it makes my blood boil...

I can already feel the stress piling up.

Whenever that happens, I want spicy food so, so badly.

It just melts all that frustration away, and it feels so good... the next day, not so much.

I can't have it too often, though... My dermatologist specifically told me to stay away from hot food.

But there's one day a year when I have an excuse to eat something spicy.

It's a day for people around the world to eat spicy food, take part in events, and share their love of all things spicy.

“What kind of holiday is that?”

“You just want an excuse to eat spicy food, you little piggy!” I can hear you already.

No, no... It's real... Nobody knows exactly who started it or how it came about, but it really is a thing!

So I thought I'd share a few of my favorite spicy foods.

Buldak Ramen

You all know this one, right? It's pretty much the definition of deliciously spicy.

That's Buldak for you... delicious on the first bite, then you're huffing and puffing once the heat kicks in.

My mouth's watering just thinking about it.

There are all kinds of Buldak flavors, but Buldak Carbonara is my favorite.

It's got that creamy heat, so I find it a little easier on my stomach than the original Buldak.

자담치킨 맵슐랭

Okay, time to come clean.

I'm actually a total spice wimp...

맵슐랭 comes in mild and regular, but I only ever get mild.

For a spice wimp like me, even mild is plenty spicy.

The mild 맵슐랭 has that delicious kind of heat too, so it's something I really enjoy every now and then.

Think you can really handle your spice? Give the regular a try.

불싸이버거 and 통다리 크리스피치킨버거 파이어핫

싸이버거 is savory deliciousness, while 불싸이버거 is deliciousness with a mouth-tingling kick.

I don't have it often, but it's the kind of heat I crave every now and then.

They even had a 불불불불싸이버거 at one point.

Along those same lines, LOTTERIA just brought out a new burger.

The 통다리 크리스피 치킨버거 파이어핫 has that same mouth-tingling heat.

I took a bite, and that sauce really got my mouth tingling.

Even after I'd finished the whole thing, the heat was still hanging around.

Now that I've written this out, these are all pretty well-known picks...
