The keyword for this post is fortune cookie, so the idea is to write around the theme suggested by the fortune cookie result.

This was the phrase I got. If you put real effort into an in-game event and then fail to collect the reward because the claim period expired, that is definitely the kind of unexpected problem that can happen.

To avoid situations like that, there are a few things you need to check regularly. From a new player’s perspective, I put together a simple overview of the main things in MapleStory that are worth checking on a routine basis, so it is easier to tell what matters and what each one is for.

Make checking your Intense Power Crystal sales a weekly habit

Before the scheduler existed, keeping track of daily and weekly 메할일 was fairly inconvenient, so there was a time when players had to manually mark off completed content in Excel or on user-made tracking sites. Now, with the scheduler, it is much easier to view your progress, completed tasks, and overall list at a glance, so the whole process is much more comfortable.

You can now check whether you have cleared your daily and weekly bosses through the scheduler as well, but one thing the scheduler still does not show is whether you actually sold your Intense Power Crystals.

For weekly boss crystals, each character can only sell 12 per week, so if you forget to sell them one week, they simply get pushed back and you are guaranteed to lose value. Because of that structure, missing even one week of sales can be a fairly serious loss.

Sometimes you rush your weekly boss clears right before the Thursday 00:00 reset, or you clear them right after reset and then forget to sell the crystals afterward, so it is a good idea to check once before reset no matter what.

That is why some players have said it would be more convenient if these worked like the Golden Meso Pouch first introduced in this Challengers World season boss content, where the reward is converted into meso immediately when obtained. It may be something we eventually see in a future convenience update.

Also, when a new boss is added, make sure to check the weekly 12-clear limit as well. This matters even more for higher-spec players, since they often run bosses in parties.

Things in events that should be checked daily and weekly

Beyond the basic content you can check in the scheduler, the monthly events that are running also come with their own daily and weekly 메할일, and these take up a fairly large part of overall gameplay. In most cases, the game exit UI tells you whether you have done them, so if you make a habit of checking that section each time, you usually will not miss much.

If you group them by broad event type, it looks like this.

Main daily attendance events usually require participation on 5 out of 7 days each week, which gives you a 2-day buffer. In the current event cycle, the following two fall into that category.

• [Challengers World] : Hunting Mission

Sub attendance events are usually daily attendance events as well, but in most cases they do not have a weekly attendance cap. This time, the [KINETIC] event, which is available until 1/14(Wed), falls into that category.

Main weekly attendance events usually take the form of defeating level-range monsters each week. The details can vary, but generally speaking, defeating 10,000 level-range monsters is enough to claim all of the core rewards. In the past, these also had a daily cap, but that disappeared at some point, so now you can finish it all in one day if needed. In this event cycle, the following events fall into that category.

• [Winter Preparation Mission] : Weekly Mission

• [Ellanos Chronicle] : Investigation Mission

Even if you finish defeating the level-range monsters, if you do not press the attendance button or claim the reward before the weekly reset, it is effectively the same as not having done it at all. So it is not enough to just complete the mission itself — pressing the attendance button and collecting the reward are also essential. The game also notifies you about this when you exit.

• [Challengers Pass]&[Momentum Pass] : Weekly Mission

Meanwhile, more recent pass-type events also do not build points unless you complete the weekly missions, so clearing them every week is basically mandatory.

Lastly, with attendance events like these, missed attendance can usually be made up by spending Maple Points to buy a pass. It varies by event, but since the cost is usually around 1000 or 3000, it is best if possible to avoid ending up in a situation where you need to use one.

There are also event shop items that restock every Thursday at 00:00, and those also need to be purchased before reset. At the moment, it is convenient because, as shown above, you can view them all together in the coin shop tab.

Restocked items are marked in the item description with a notice like the one above indicating that they will be restocked. A representative example is the Karma Cubes in the weekly boss event coin shop, which are valuable enough that remembering to buy them is close to essential.

In this event cycle, the following fall into that category.

• [Memories of Illusion] : Basic EXP Coupon / Intermediate and Advanced Karma Cubes

• [Meso Shop] : Mekaberry Farm Entry Ticket

• [PC Room Premium Gift Shop] : All items

These tend to be similar every time, but just like the newly added items in this Meso Shop, there is a good chance new items will continue to be added in future events as well, so it is worth checking once each event.

As for [VIP Sauna], it usually starts when a major event theme begins, ends when that theme ends, and then starts again with the next event theme. The main thing to watch out for is that any remaining time does not carry over when it ends, so if you do not use all of the time you have by the relevant date, it simply disappears.

Lastly, most event rewards with an expiration period can usually still be used until 2 AM on the day after the event ends. For example, if an event ends at 23:59 on 1/14, it is useful to remember that the expiration time is fixed at 2:00 on 1/15.

PC room event details that can be confusing

With PC room events, during major summer and winter event seasons like this one, both the Premium Gift Shop and the cumulative reward event run at the same time, while outside those periods only the cumulative reward event is usually active.

This is where people often get confused, because the event periods for the two are slightly different. The key thing to remember is that the cumulative reward event runs until Thursday 23:59, the day of the regular server update, and the new event begins at Friday 00:00.

It seems to be set up this way because the previous cumulative rewards can be given immediately in [Challengers World], which opens after Thursday maintenance.

On the other hand, the Gift Shop runs until Wednesday 23:59, and you need to spend all of the coins you earned by the day before maintenance. If it continues into the next round, it begins again immediately after maintenance.

Why it is worth reading event descriptions carefully at least once

Aside from the recurring points above, there are also cases where unexpected losses can happen, and because these appear intermittently and unpredictably from one event to another, it is a good idea to check at least one source for any new event, whether that is the official homepage, a community post, or YouTube.

For example, in this event, the event skill tonic event can be accessed by clicking the “Illusion Magic Enhancement” tab in the attendance UI, which switches the screen and lets you participate from there. In the past, however, this had been separated into its own event UI, so because the structure was different this time, more players than expected had trouble finding it early on. Some apparently only noticed it much later.

Since major events generally include event skills as a regular feature ㅂ, if you cannot find them later on or they do not seem to be showing up, it is a good idea to check the UI or related information again.

A similar example is the Barrier Control Rod in the [Mysterious Barrier] event. In the previous event, it could be purchased from the Meso Shop, so when it was moved this time to a dedicated shop within the UI, many people assumed it simply was not being sold this time.

There are also cases like installation-type skills released this time as event skills that get strengthened at certain level intervals,

or cases where an effect only applies after you finish your level-range monster attendance, which means it is more beneficial to participate after completing that attendance each Thursday. So with each new update season, it is worth checking details like these as well so nothing gets overlooked.
