Hello, this is GameSky.

Today, January 9, 2026, MapleLand received a new map update. A new area has been added on the Masteria New Leaf City side: Crimsonwood Phantom Forest. In this post, I’ll go over it step by step.

Let’s get started.

First, use Bell in the Kerning City subway to buy a ticket, then head to New Leaf City.

Once you arrive, click the NLC Taxi located on the far left side of New Leaf City.

When you click the NLC Taxi, it says you can travel to the deep wilderness called Phantom Forest. If you press Yes, you’ll be taken straight to the mansion.

In any case, this is how you arrive at Phantom Forest. The first thing you see is the Haunted House, which was used during the previous Halloween event. At the moment, you still can’t enter the house. Instead, there are paths on both the left and right.

The atmosphere in Phantom Forest feels less like a bright fairy tale and more like a grim one. It has the kind of mood you might imagine if Hansel and Gretel were turned into a much darker story. The map’s dark tone and confusing, maze-like layout define the area quite well.

How to Get to Crimsonwood Mountain

The route to Crimsonwood Mountain is fairly complicated. Still, I’ll walk you through it. First, enter the passage on the far left side of the Haunted House.

After that, you’ll start on the right side of the swamp area, so go all the way to the far left and take the left portal.

You’ll then arrive at a fork. At the fork, take the second portal.

Next, you’ll arrive at Twisted Path. Take the portal on the far left.

After that, you’ll start at the far left side of Ghost Road. See that portal in the upper middle area? Head there.

Next is another fork. Even if it feels like you’ve come back to the same area, don’t get confused—keep moving to the right and take the right portal.

After that, in Twisted Path again, take the fourth portal and then the second portal.

After that, you’ll spawn at the very top of the fork. Since you came out from the second portal at the top, take the first portal.

You’re almost there now. You’ll arrive at Forgotten Path. Move in a snake-like pattern—go all the way right, then all the way left—and you’ll see a portal. Take that portal, and you’ve made it.

That’s how you can reach Hero’s Valley in Crimsonwood Mountain, although another rough stretch still waits ahead.

Wrapping Up

Today, we took a look at Phantom Forest. There are weaker monsters like Jr. Wraith, but there are also plenty of strong ones such as Elder Wraith and Firebrand, so be careful. If you’re not paying attention, you can easily die here and lose EXP. Also, special thanks to Yeonbaek for explaining this route. If the path still feels confusing, you can refer to Yeonbaek’s post as well.

This has been GameSky. Thank you!
