When you think of bad manners in games, what comes to mind?

Just hearing those things is enough to make you feel tired already.

Game etiquette really isn’t anything complicated.

Playing with people in a game is basically the same as dealing with people in real life—you just can’t see their faces.

Real-life manners = game manners. If you keep that one idea in mind, it gets a lot easier.

After that, you just add a little more depending on the game’s own quirks.

Since this topic is what it is, this might end up sounding a little boring or overly academic.

Before we start, let’s first go over a few things that should be obvious anytime, anywhere, in any game.

• Don’t use abusive language

• Don’t leave during party play

• Don’t cause trouble for other people

• Be on time

• Say hello

At the very least, even if that doesn’t make you likable, it’ll keep you from being disliked.

Learn the gimmicks and patterns

The real stars of Mabinogi Mobile: Abyss and Raids

Unless it’s a 레이드 헤딩팟, it’s basically standard now to go in after learning the gimmicks and patterns first.

These days, community resources are active enough that you can check them easily through written guides or images.

It doesn’t even take 5 minutes to check a guide, so please read one before you go in!

You can even leave it open on your phone or a second monitor while you play.

Don’t hit Assist and then leave it unattended without watching the screen

Mabinogi Mobile is not an idle game.

If you’re soloing a hunting ground or running an easy normal dungeon, going semi-AFK is fine,

but some Very Hard Deep Dungeons use anti-Assist gimmicks, so you really do need to watch the screen.

Like Southern Ruins D1-1...

A Mimic or Succubus can kill you before you even have time to react.

And if you go down, please get back up right away!

That goes without saying for Abyss and Raids, right?

Chance encounters make me especially careful

Mabinogi Mobile has random matching—Chance Encounters, or what people call “uman.”

Since I don’t really have acquaintances to play with, I do almost 90% of my runs through Chance Encounters.

In a regular party, even if someone disconnects, the party still stays together, but in a Chance Encounter, if you disconnect, that’s it.

That’s why I try to be even more mindful there.

If you disconnect, reconnect and at least say sorry through world chat or a whisper,

it’s just one small line, but it really helps smooth things over.

It’s the kind of magic that turns “Ah, damn...” into “Well, that happens.”

They say one word can pay back a thousand nyang of debt, right?

In games or in real life, it’s still people dealing with people in the end, so there’s no real difference

If you bump into someone on the street, you say, “Ah, sorry,” and move on, right?

When you come across a stranger in everyday life,

you just need to show that same level of courtesy in-game too.
