Are you familiar with the word mingling?

It comes from “mingle,” meaning to mix or get together,

and it’s all about spending time with people

and connecting in a relaxed, casual atmosphere.

And Mabinogi Mobile, a game I play often,

is a perfect example of a game that makes mingling easy.

Today, I’m sharing a few of my mingling moments from 모비노기!

Our meeting…

was pure chance!

Since its early days, Mabinogi Mobile

has had a feature called Chance Encounters.

It randomly matches you with players across all servers,

so you can enjoy everything from combat to minigames together.

It’s a lot of fun teaming up with people you’ve never met

and working your way through enemies

ranging from easy mobs to powerful bosses.

Compared to a typical matchmaking system,

it takes a lot of the pressure out of joining a party,

making it a great way to enjoy the game at a more relaxed pace.

Of course, there’s plenty of regular party recruitment, too.

Players often create a party and turn on matchmaking,

or look for party members in local chat.

In parties formed this way, people often share food

or chat with one another as they play.

I even got to meet someone who’s always saying “밍밍” in chat.

Guilds and My Home!

On the Duncan server, I’m in a guild called 타임,

where I’m the guild leader.

We don’t run a Discord server or a group chat,

and we’re a laid-back guild with no requirements,

so it’s not exactly a bustling crowd,

but I still catch up with guild members now and then.

(Anyone looking for a laid-back guild is welcome to join!)

On 12/23, just ahead of Christmas,

we held a housewarming party at a guild member’s My Home.

We started with some casual game talk,

then chatted about all sorts of things,

and 1 hour flew by before we knew it!

You can set My Home to let anyone drop in,

and suddenly, a man dressed in red appeared

and started insisting it was his house.

His reasoning? Well…

“I’m not wearing shoes, so this must be my house”…

He was only joking—he had a stomachache and had come looking for a bathroom.

Unfortunately, you can’t open or close doors yet,

so word has it he did his business with the door open and went on his way.

My Home really does feel like the perfect feature

for unwinding and mingling.

I hope we get even more furniture and features in the future.

A guestbook, in particular, is a must for a future update!
