To mark the start of the Year of the Fire Horse on January 1, 2026, DNF Mobile launched a new event.

The release of new avatars themed around the Knights of the Round Table has been a particular treat for players who enjoy character fashion.

​

Let's take a quick look at what's available.

Knights of the Round Table Avatars

The Knights of the Round Table avatars are on sale until March 26 at 6 AM as part of a “주또주” package (the more you buy, the more you get).

​

Buying 9 packages grants extra rewards, including a best-in-slot Creature Box, so most moderate-to-heavy spenders tend to pick these up. This time, an Extra Transcendence Attempt Ticket is also included, which should attract plenty of buyers.

The avatars take their inspiration from the Knights of the Round Table in Arthurian legend. These avatars first appeared in PC DNF in 2018, but DNF Mobile has its own original Warrior class, so seeing its take on the theme is part of the fun.

Let's see which figure each character represents.

First, the Male Slayer is King Arthur. He is the legendary king who united Britain, though some may know him better by the name Saber. In the original legend, he is the central figure who wields Excalibur and leads the Knights of the Round Table.

The Female Slayer is Guinevere. King Arthur's queen is a tragic figure whose forbidden love for Lancelot helps set the kingdom's downfall in motion. In PC DNF, Lancelot was represented by the Male Fighter.

The Fighter is Gawain. Arthur's nephew and a celebrated knight, he is drawn into tragedy by his anger and pride.

Gawain is male, but appears here as a Female Fighter avatar. This sort of change is common in adaptations, so it doesn't feel out of place.

The Male Gunner is Tristan. A tragic knight famous for his love for Isolde, he is constantly torn between love and duty.

The Female Gunner is Lohengrin. Known as the Swan Knight, he travels to help those in peril but is destined to leave to keep his identity a secret.

The Female Mage is Vivian. Known as the Lady of the Lake, she is a mysterious fairy (or witch) who bestows Excalibur and is closely tied to the wizard Merlin. On that note, the Male Mage scheduled for release in January is Merlin.

The Male Priest is Bedivere. A loyal knight of King Arthur, he stays by the king's side until the very end and is tasked with returning Excalibur to the lake.

The Female Priest is Kay. Kay is male, but appears here as a Female Priest avatar. Arthur's stepbrother and a Knight of the Round Table, he serves as a pragmatic administrator who grumbles but never abandons the court.

The Warrior is Mordred. Mordred is also male, but appears here as a Female Warrior avatar. Portrayed as Arthur's nephew or son, he is a treacherous knight who faces Arthur in a final battle.

The Thief is Morgana. Arthur's half-sister is a fairy (or witch) who wields powerful magic. She is portrayed sometimes as an enemy and sometimes as a family member with whom he shares a love-hate relationship.

The Demonic Lancer is Percival. A pure-hearted knight who seeks the Holy Grail, he is inexperienced in worldly matters but ultimately comes closest to uncovering the Grail's secret.

Just the hat for this one

The Male Mage is Uther Pendragon. He has been previewed as a Hidden Rare Avatar rather than a regular avatar.

Uther Pendragon is King Arthur's father and the legendary king who defended Britain against Saxon invasions. Given his small stature here, it's amusing to think of him as the Male Slayer's father(?).

That brings the total to 12 new avatars.

Each avatar comes in four color options, and black is my personal favorite.

​

I think the Thief avatar turned out particularly well, with a much more glamorous look than usual. I also like the armored style across the lineup.

This probably wasn't in PC DNF either

The new Creatures are 기사 세바스찬 (for damage dealers), 마법사 소피아 (for synergy classes), and 드래곤테이머 소피아 (best-in-slot). None of them are figures from the Knights of the Round Table.

Other Events

DNF Mobile is also giving out the Red Horse's Gift to players who log in before January 22 at 6 AM.

There's even a cutscene of a red horse galloping toward you—a nice touch that shows the care put into the event. It was also good to see Mintai again after so long.

The Knights of the Round Table event has also begun. Completing missions from the 12 knights earns you growth materials, while gaining recognition from all of them rewards you with a Knights of the Round Table Skin Box.

It contains an Explorer Club tag, a background, and a character background.

In the Take Care of the Christmas Tree event, which began on December 18, the tree evolves and grants buffs based on the total number of dungeon clears across all servers.

​

The final goal of 30 million clears has been reached, unlocking buffs up to stage 3.

This means that until January 8 at 6 AM, the gold cost of reinforcing equipment at +15 or below is reduced by 10%. This includes upgrading from +15 to +16, so I imagine many players have taken the opportunity to get their gear to +16. I spent everything I had saved to bring one piece of armor up to +16 myself.
