[Mabinogi Mobile] Thoughts on Abyss Hell, the endgame content #굳이데이

Hello!

This is Nexon PEEKER PEAK Time.

Mabinogi Mobile Abyss Hell

In Mabinogi Mobile, the endgame mode that really pushes combat to its limit

is Abyss Hell difficulty.

High placements also come with honor rewards, so

plenty of rankers are still out there trying to beat their records today.

That said, there’s no difference in rewards compared to Very Hard, so

it’s also content that’s basically all about the romance of the challenge.

굳이데이 means a day when you do something inefficient in daily life

just because you want to chase that little bit of romance.

Abyss Hell felt like exactly the kind of content that fits a 굳이데이,

so, as a celebration of how much I’d raised my combat power, I decided to test myself.

An overwhelming HP pool,

Abyss Hell!

Hell

The patterns are the same as Very Hard, but

the monsters themselves are dramatically stronger.

I challenged Hell 8 and 9 with my guildmates,

and even the regular mobs had a ridiculous 500 HP bars.

If you want to cut your clear time, some way to group mobs is mandatory,

which means using the Sweeping Wind armor rune or Wind Grenades.

Firepower

On top of that, it helps a lot to have

classes with the Break Extend ability in the party,

especially Cryomancer and Warrior.

That applies not just to trash mobs, but to mid-bosses and bosses too.

Most of the time, the break window is your real DPS window,

so the longer you can extend break, the more damage you can dump into the target.

Abyss-exclusive Tier 0,

Defenseless Rune Set

Defenseless

There are also certain runes that perform especially well in Abyss.

For weapons, there’s Destroyer, while for armor, there are Rending Claw and Crush.

What all three have in common is that they get stronger when Defenseless damage procs,

and since Abyss throws a lot of mobs at you, Defenseless triggers often enough to be very efficient.

In record-pushing parties where every second matters,

especially the ones challenging Hell 10 for top honor rewards,

you’ll even see the whole party running the Defenseless set.

My party wasn’t one of those and was more of a time-attack group, so

I only tried swapping into it briefly by myself when clearing mobs.

Since we couldn’t kill them in a single break anyway,

the efficiency didn’t really feel any different from my usual setup.

A jaw-dropping boss HP pool

Marak

The boss in Abyss Hell 9

has well over 5,000 HP bars.

Even 1,500 bars already felt like a lot in Very Hard,

but as true endgame content, the stat jump here is on a completely different level.

Junkyard

Corrupted Junkyard in particular, the new Abyss added last month,

spawns poison pools all over the map,

so just staying alive is already a serious challenge.

Hunt Success

But come on—who do you think I am?

A Greatsword Warrior who gets stronger when things get rough!

I even used the poison against itself to build retaliation stacks,

and cleared it with 10 seconds left!

Success

That’s how I cleared the Hell 9 time attack across all four types.

I was tempted to push on to Hell 10 as well, but unfortunately,

because of scheduling issues, we decided to pick it up next time.

The rewards may be small,

but the honor stays with you!

Time Attack

Your first successful Abyss Hell time attack

gives you a small amount of Abyssal Magic Stones and gold.

Given the difficulty, there’s really no practical reason to clear it.

Ranking

Still, you can compete in the monthly rankings through your Abyss score, and

if you place in the top 10 for your server and class, you get a ranker certification mark

as well as a chair item you can use for one month.

So today, I wanted to share my thoughts after running

Abyss Hell, the endgame content of Mabinogi Mobile.

You absolutely don’t need to do it, but if you want to test

just how much stronger you’ve gotten, it’s worth trying at least once.
