Hello, everyone. 게임하늘 here.

I'm back with another Mapleland quest guide, and once again, we're helping Jay. This quest is said to reward a scroll too. Today, we'll walk through Jay's third quest, A Soul Stolen by Darkness.

Let's get started.

Required Level: 70 or higher

Contents

• Jay

• Orbis & Ludibrium Train Ticket Prices

• Master Soul Teddy Hunting Ground

• Free Spirit

• Reward

• Scroll for Helmet for DEF Market Price

• Wrapping Up

Jay

Jay is grateful for your help last time, but it seems there's still something left to do.

He says the items you brought him last time were already covered in the material he'd collected. He apologizes for making you go to all that trouble. (Back we go....)

Now he wants you to collect something else. He assures you he's got it right this time—the items are clearly documented in the literature. (Feels like the workload just doubled.)

So, you're back on the job. This time, Jay asks you to collect 100 Free Spirits dropped by Master Soul Teddies. That means another trip to the same map...

Orbis & Ludibrium Train Ticket Prices

I headed to Ellinia, bought a train ticket to Orbis, and waited 15 minutes before boarding the ship. As mentioned earlier, the train to Orbis costs 20,000 mesos.

Once the ship arrived in Orbis, I headed to the Ludibrium station, bought a ticket, and waited another 15 minutes before boarding the next ship. The ticket costs 6,000 mesos.

Master Soul Teddy Hunting Ground

The hunting ground is Forgotten Path of Time <1>, the same map we visited for Jay's previous quest. The Master Soul Teddies here are level 67, which puts them 4 levels above the level 63 Soul Teddies. Like Soul Teddies, though, they're undead, so Heal can damage them.

Free Spirit

Free Spirits are quite expensive on 메랜지지, costing around 2,800 to 5,000 mesos each. You need 100, so buying them could cost 280,000 to 500,000 mesos. That's enough money to buy 5,000 Blue Potions. Master Soul Teddies don't spawn in large numbers on their map, either, so deciding whether to buy or hunt isn't easy.

Reward

Once you've collected everything, return to Jay. He says he can now get back to writing his book. After putting you through all that trouble, he ought to give you a good scroll, right?

The reward is 1 scroll. I checked mine, and it turned out to be a Scroll for Helmet for DEF 10%.

Scroll for Helmet for DEF Market Price

Scrolls for Helmet for DEF don't sell for much. The going rate is 210,000 to 300,000 mesos. If you bought 100 Free Spirits and ended up with a Helmet DEF scroll, you'd probably feel like you'd lost money—especially once you factor in the 52,000 mesos spent on travel tickets.

Wrapping Up

Personally, I'd have come out ahead with an Overall DEX or INT scroll, or a Gloves ATT or DEX scroll. Instead, I got Helmet DEF, so it feels like I'm down a few tens of thousands of mesos. If you're taking on this quest, you'll need some luck with the reward too.

That's all from 게임하늘. Thanks for reading!
