Today, I’ll be covering My Home and Decor Score in Mabinogi Mobile. I used to avoid life-skill content entirely, but with nothing much to play lately, I finally started taking an interest. It turns out that building up my score is surprisingly fun.

That’s how I ended up trying the recently added My Home content. Whether you’re here to learn how to create a home, craft items to earn Deca, or raise your Decor Score, I’ll walk you through each part in detail.

How to Unlock My Home

To unlock My Home in Mabinogi Mobile, complete the “My Cozy House, My Home” quest. Open your quest list and scroll all the way down—you should find it there. Scrolling through the list every time is such a hassle. When are they finally going to add a quest search feature?

Once you complete the quest, you can create your own home, and the available regions are Dunbarton and Emain Macha. Open the map and zoom in to see the house icons. Creating your first home costs 10,000 gold.

You’ll then receive 20 Decor Crafting Parts and a Stylish Flowerpot Decor Box to help you decorate your home. As your Decor Score rises, you can move into a larger home. So if you want to really make the place your own, you’ll need to raise that score!

Your Decor Score appears at the bottom of your character information, so you can check it whenever you’re curious.

How to Raise Your Decor Score

To raise your Decor Score in Mabinogi Mobile, you need to craft items at the Decor Workbench. Then, you have to use the crafted items to increase your Decor Score. Crafting alone won’t raise your score, so the process takes a surprising amount of effort and can get a little tedious.

The quick thinkers among you might already be wondering, “Wait, why not level up the Decor Workbench first, then rack up points quickly?” Unfortunately, the materials needed to upgrade the workbench only become available after reaching a certain Decor Score. In other words, there’s no getting around the crafting.

Also, keep in mind that your Decor Score only increases the first time you obtain an item. For example, whether you craft a Practical Square Table 1 time or 50 times, you’ll only gain 50 points in total. If you’re crafting to raise your score, it’s best to make just 1 of each item.

​

You can check which Decor items you’ve obtained in the Collection menu. If opening the Collection every time feels like a hassle, you can do what I do: leave your crafted items unused and open them all in one go, or leave just the last item unused as a reminder of where you left off.

Once your Decor Workbench reaches level 3 or higher, you can really start crafting pretty items or earning Deca. Think of 3,000 Decor Score as the minimum to aim for if you want to get into decorating your home or earning Deca.

The Cozy Cabinet Box, which you can craft at level 2, is currently selling for 300 Deca or more, so building up your Decor Score now can pay off nicely. There’s one more obstacle, though.

​

There’s a limit to how many Crafting Parts you can obtain to make Decor items. You can get 25 per week from the shop, which is nowhere near enough if you want to raise your Decor Score quickly. I tried using an alt to get more, but the limit is shared across all characters.

Thankfully, you can complete the My Home unlock quest separately on each character. If, like me, you have 6 alts that have progressed through the Emain Macha main quests, you can get an extra 100 Decor Crafting Parts this way. Once you’ve claimed them, just move them into shared storage.

After crafting Decor items, you can also click Collection Supplies to claim extra rewards based on your level, as shown here. Don’t forget to collect these, too! Combining these methods will get you to 3,000 points fairly quickly.

The Easy Way

If grinding out Decor Score this way sounds too tedious, there is a shortcut. You can quickly build up your score by spending Deca or Cash at the Marketplace or Cash Shop to buy high-grade Decor items.

Of course, that’s only an option for players willing to spend money, and I don’t think you need to go that far. Even if it’s a little tedious, I recommend gathering Crafting Parts and making items every day instead. Raising your Life Skill Score is fun, too, so I’ve found it fairly rewarding.

​

In short, you can do this without spending money. But if you tend to avoid tedious tasks as much as I do, you’ll probably give up partway through or spend money to make up the difference. There isn’t much I want to play these days, so I’ve been putting in the effort. Now that I’ve started, I might as well see how far I can get.
