Today is January 1st! That means it’s New Year’s Day, of course. So first of all, Happy New Year, everyone! I hope 2026 goes well for all of you. And for those of you playing old Maple, MapleLand also has a New Year event quest to celebrate the occasion. So today, let’s take a look at Cassandra’s New Year Fortune Reading.

Cassandra

On New Year’s Day, if you visit the Maple Mailbox or Cassandra, you’ll see that a new quest has been added. Just click on the Maple Mailbox or Cassandra to start it.

When Cassandra sees the player, she suddenly asks in that slightly creepy way of hers, “I see it, I see it~ I can see the player’s fortune for this year. Aren’t you curious?” Even in 2026, Cassandra is still very much Cassandra.

The player turns her down, saying it feels like Cassandra is up to something strange again, and that they are not really the type to believe in that sort of thing. It definitely doesn’t seem like this is her first time acting this way.

So Cassandra asks you to help her read other people’s fortunes instead of your own. Since it’s a New Year event, she says the rewards will be pretty decent too.

Anyway, she asks you to gather 2026 Fortune Papers so she can read people’s fortunes properly. The monsters that drop them should sound familiar: level range monsters. You need to defeat monsters within the -10 to +10 level range. So yes, this is another quest where you keep hunting until the items finally drop.

Defeat Level Range Monsters

Since I was already in Perion, I headed to Victoria Road: Tomb of the Ruins IV, which is a common hunting spot for level 70 players in Perion. It fits the level range monster requirement, and since most of the monsters there are undead, it was also a great hunting spot for me as a Priest.

The item you need to get from hunting monsters is 2026 Fortune Paper. You need to collect 10 of them, so keep hunting until all 10 drop. Once you’ve gathered every item, talk to Cassandra or the Maple Mailbox again.

Rewards

She asks whether you brought all of the fortune papers, and says that if you did, she’ll keep her promise for sure.

After that, Cassandra says you can come back once a day and help her gather fortune papers. The quest is available until January 10th.

When you complete the quest, you receive a buff called Cassandra’s Blessing. It increases Weapon Attack by 10 and Magic Attack by 20 for 30 minutes.

The next reward is a 2x EXP Coupon, and it is available until January 4th. Since you get 2 per day, it’s worth doing the quest each day.



Wrapping Up

Today, we looked at Cassandra’s New Year Fortune Reading, one of MapleLand’s New Year events. Since the quest gives EXP coupons and isn’t especially difficult, if you play MapleLand, it’s well worth clearing and then getting back to your usual hunting.
