Hello, everyone! 게임하늘 here.

Today is January 1, which means it’s officially New Year’s Day! Happy New Year, everyone, and here’s to a great 2026! Mapleland, the old-school MapleStory experience, is also ringing in the year with a New Year’s event quest for its players. In this guide, we’ll take a look at Cassandra’s New Year Fortune Reading.

Let’s get started!

Cassandra

Visit the Maple Mailbox or Cassandra this New Year’s Day, and you’ll find a new quest waiting for you. Click either one to get started.

Cassandra takes one look at your character and suddenly announces, rather eerily, “I see it, I see it~ I can see your fortune for this year. Aren’t you curious?” New year, same Cassandra—even in 2026.

Suspecting Cassandra is about to show them something strange again, your character declines, explaining that’s not why they’re here and that they don’t really believe in that sort of thing. Apparently, this isn’t the first time Cassandra has tried this.

Instead, Cassandra asks you to help her read other people’s fortunes. Since it’s a New Year’s event, she promises rewards that will make it well worth your while.

To help her read people’s fortunes, she asks you to collect 2026 Fortune Papers. These drop from a familiar target: monsters within your level range. You’ll need to defeat monsters in the -10 to +10 level range relative to your own level. Once again, you’ll be hunting monsters until you have the items you need.

Defeating Monsters Within Your Level Range

Since I was already in Perion, I headed to 유적의 무덤4 on Victoria Road, the go-to hunting spot for most level 70 players in Perion. The monsters fit my level range, and most are undead—perfect for hunting as a Priest.

While hunting, you’re looking for 2026 Fortune Papers. You’ll need 10 of them, so keep hunting until 10 have dropped. Once you’ve collected all 10, talk to Cassandra or the Maple Mailbox again.

Rewards

Cassandra asks whether you’ve collected all the Fortune Papers. If you have, she assures you she’ll keep her promise.

She then explains that you can visit her once a day to help collect Fortune Papers. The quest runs until January 10.

Completing the quest grants you a buff called Cassandra’s Blessing, which increases Weapon Attack by 10 and Magic Attack by 20 for 30 minutes.

You’ll also receive a 2x EXP Coupon, valid until January 4. You get 2 each day, so it’s worth completing the quest daily.

Wrapping Up

That wraps up our look at Cassandra’s New Year Fortune Reading, Mapleland’s New Year’s event. With EXP coupons as rewards and a fairly straightforward quest to complete, it’s worth giving it a go if you play Mapleland. Then get back out there and make the most of your hunting!

That’s all from 게임하늘. Happy New Year!
