[ARC Raiders] ARC Guide: Destroy 100 and Earn Cash Rewards!

This post was created as part of Nexon PEAK activities, and rewards are provided accordingly.

Hello,

I’m Jaymer, currently active as a Nexon Picker 😊

ARC Raiders is a PvPvE survival co-op TPS game.

Sometimes you’ll have to fight other players—Raiders—but the AI enemies, the Arcs, are no joke either.
Raiders can team up through communication, but Arcs don’t play like that.
The moment they spot you, they attack right away.
And since defeating Arcs also gives you materials, knowing each type’s traits will make farming much more efficient!

I’ve put together a guide covering the main Arc types, their key traits, and how to deal with them, so feel free to use it as a reference!

(There’s also a Nexon Cash giveaway event at the very bottom of this post, so be sure to join!!)

Wasp

This is a small flying drone that either moves in swarms or patrols set routes alongside Hornets.
It’s relatively easy to deal with, but once it enters combat mode, it speeds up and becomes harder to aim at.
Make good use of cover, and bring a fast-firing weapon—destroying just its two wings will make it explode, so you can clear it out quickly.

Hornet

This flying drone is a bit trickier than the Wasp.
It uses an electric shock weapon, so getting hit can leave you stunned.

Its front is covered with armor, so shooting it head-on is inefficient.
If you accurately target its two rear wings, it goes down much more easily! I had an easy time dealing with it using Pero.

Snitch

This Arc looks like a round UFO and acts as a scout.
If possible, it’s best not to engage this one first.
If you underestimate it and get detected, it will call in nearby Wasps and Hornets, and things can spiral out of control fast.

Sneaking past it is the best option, and if you absolutely have to fight it,
make sure to attack the white blade section first before it can summon its allies, so you can remove it quickly.

Fireball

ocam81-ezgif.com-video-to-gif-converter (1)

This is a spherical Arc that often appears indoors.
It moves in close and sprays flames, and the damage is higher than you might expect.
Still, it has low durability, so if you back up, you can take it out in just 1–2 shots.
It also makes a sound right before attacking, so listen for audio cues when entering indoor areas.

Tick

ocam84-ezgif.com-video-to-gif-converter

This is a small spider-like Arc that usually moves in groups of around three in dark indoor areas.
It crawls along walls and ceilings, then latches onto the player’s face, rapidly draining both health and shields.
As soon as it attaches, shake it off and finish it with about 1–2 shots.

*TIP

It often appears together with Fireballs, and if a flame attack comes in while a Tick is attached, things can become dangerous in an instant.
Both enemies have low HP, so it’s best to take them out quickly with a rapid-fire weapon.

Turret

These can be found inside buildings throughout the Rust Belt.
They’re mounted on walls near staircases and start firing the moment you enter their line of sight.
Since they stay in a fixed position, they’re not too difficult as long as you use cover well.
Or you can destroy one easily with a single grenade.

Rocketeer

This is a large, heavily armored Arc that flies through the sky and launches guided missiles.
It has long range and hits hard, so early on, avoiding it is your best option.
If you take it on too early, you’ll get melted in no time. It’s too much to handle solo, so it’s better to queue as a squad and focus its wing sections together with other players.

Reaper

This is a massive four-legged Arc.
It often appears in open areas, and once it spots you, it jumps up high and follows with a drop attack. You’ll need to dodge it quickly with a slide.

I rushed in without knowing the pattern and nearly had a heart attack..!

It also uses a wide-area shockwave attack at close range, which makes it extremely dangerous.
It’s best to fight it with multiple players or when your gear is fully ready.
If you’re alone, the safest option is to retreat into a building.

I’ve also seen a method where you trap it in a narrow building to take it down. Its weak point is the legs.

ARC Raiders has many more Arc types beyond the ones covered here.
Since each one has different patterns, learning them in advance gives you a big advantage in combat!
There are plenty more beyond today’s list, so try taking them down yourself in-game.

Through the PEAK Quest below, you can earn 10,000 won in Nexon Cash by destroying 100 Arc machines!

If you focus on the relatively easier Arcs first, you should be able to finish it quickly :D

1. Go to the 5,000 won Nexon Cash mission (Search 50 loot containers + Deal 1,000 damage to Arc machines)

2. Go to the 5,000 won Nexon Cash mission (Destroy 50 Arc machines + Safely return from Dam Battleground, Buried City, and Space Base)

3. Go to the 10,000 won Nexon Cash mission (Destroy 100 Arc machines)
