Hello, everyone!
I’m Nexon Picker 피스타임, and I’m completely hooked on ARC!
Are you all enjoying ARC Raiders?
I’ve seen plenty of players get smacked around by ARC machines early on
and end up feeling a little intimidated!
So today, for all you PEAK users, it’s time for the third PEAK Quest!
Alongside Prelude to Battle, I’ll be sharing some early-game ARC machine strategies.
I’ve rounded up tips for dealing with Tick, Pop, Wasp, Hornet, Snitch, Turret, and Fireball,
and if you complete the quest, you can earn Nexon Cash, so don’t miss it!

Mission
Destroy 100 ARC machines!
This mission overlaps a bit with the previous second quest.
Last time, the goal was to destroy 50 ARC machines,
but this time, you’ll need to take down a full 100.
So today, I’m going to cover something I couldn’t fully get into last time:
how to deal with early-game ARC machines in detail.
Don’t panic when you see a spider!
How to deal with Tick
The ARC machine you’ll see most often is Tick.
Did you spot the spider in the image above?
Ticks are mainly found inside buildings,
and because they’re small spider-type ARC machines, they may also be clinging to ceilings or walls.
Ticks latch onto you when you get close,
so when you enter a new room, make sure to check your surroundings carefully.
The good news is that they have no armor, so even weapons using Stitcher-style
light ammo can take them out very easily.
Since they often show up in groups of 2 to 3, they’re great for building up that 100 total, right?
Self-destruct robot incoming?
How to deal with Pop
Pop also tends to roam around in groups of 1 to 2
when you enter a new room, just like Tick.
Once it gets near a Raider, it starts flashing red,
makes a time-bomb-like ticking sound, and then explodes, so
try dodging it with a roll (Alt) at just the right moment!
It won’t count as a kill if it blows itself up, though, so it’s best to destroy it when you can.
Pop has no armor,
so it’s easy to destroy even with light ammo weapons,
but heavy ammo weapons like Ferro can blow it up in one shot.
Drone deployment?
How to deal with Wasp
Now let’s move on to drones.
The drone in the image above is called Wasp,
and once it detects a Raider, it flashes orange and attacks with light ammo fire.
Wasp’s weak point is its four thruster wings.
If you break one, it becomes unstable and can’t attack properly,
and if you break about two, it crashes and explodes.
It has no armor, so it’s manageable even with light ammo,
but the body has a lot of HP, so make sure you focus on the wings!
A bulkier drone?
How to deal with Hornet
Hornet definitely looks tougher than Wasp.
Its weak point is still the wings, but the front is armored.
With weapons like Ferro, you can aim for the front wings,
but if you’re using a light ammo weapon like Stitcher,
you’ll need to target the rear wings, since those aren’t armored.
Once one wing breaks, it starts moving in a way that makes it much harder to hit,
but stay calm, line up your shots, and keep targeting the wings.
Leave it alone and disaster follows?
How to deal with Snitch
There’s also a very small drone.
This little one is called Snitch,
and interestingly, it doesn’t attack. Instead, it scans the surrounding area,
and if a Raider is nearby, it calls in Wasps and Hornets.
If you look closely, this one also has wings on both sides of its body.
Ideally, you don’t get spotted in the first place,
but if it does detect you, it’s best to quickly destroy the wings
to stop it from summoning other drones.
It breathes fire!
How to deal with Fireball
It looks like Phip, but there’s also an enemy called Fireball
that approaches Raiders and breathes fire.
It has armor, so it’s tough to deal with using light ammo,
but when it’s about to breathe fire, the front section opens up,
and that part can be damaged even with light ammo.
Shoot right before it breathes, then roll to dodge—make sure you remember that!
Are you an ARC machine too?
How to deal with Turret
Honestly, I’m not even sure whether this counts as an ARC machine,
but inside buildings, there are Turrets that lock onto you with a laser if they spot you.
If you stay calm and use walls for cover, they’re pretty easy to deal with.
For reference, you can press X to switch your view left and right, so make good use of it!
Another safe return to Speranza today!
