Enjoying life in Erinn and making the most of your adventures?

With the level cap raised and new tiers of runes and gems now available,

you’ve probably returned to running the Ominous Summoning Barrier after leaving it on the back burner for a while.

New adventurers who joined with the arrival of Emain Macha are likely busy seeking out barriers, too.

Today, I’ve rounded up a few handy barrier tips in one place!

They’re simple but useful, so keep them in mind and make sure you claim those barrier rewards~

The Ominous Summoning Barrier is one of the activities available in field hunting areas,

and it opens every hour, starting at 6 AM each day.

With rewards including Enchant Fragments, Emblem Runes, gems, and gold,

it’s practically essential for building up your character, so be sure to join in!

A large stone monument like this will appear somewhere in a field hunting area,

and the dark energy surrounding it should make it easy to spot.

When it’s time for a barrier, a barrier mission will appear in the quest tracker in the upper right.

Select the quest to travel there automatically—it’s a handy way to get where you need to go.

You can also select the map at the very top right to see exactly when the barrier will appear.

The button shown here lets you travel there automatically, too, so keep it in mind~

activates the mission, so once you arrive at the barrier, you’ll automatically enter combat when the monsters appear.

With so many players gathering at barriers these days, it helps to have automatic combat kick in right away,

so make sure you leave that quest tab selected!

A few minutes after the barrier appears, monsters will spawn on all sides of the stone monument.

If you don’t defeat them all within 7 minutes of their appearance, the barrier will disappear,

and you won’t receive any rewards.

You’ll need to act quickly to take down the monsters pouring in from all sides!

With plenty of other adventurers around, clearing them out should be quick and easy.

After the wave of relatively weak regular monsters,

the boss monster you need to defeat will appear.

Be sure to attack this boss monster at least once—you won’t receive rewards otherwise!

Sen Mag Plateau, for example, is currently the highest-level field hunting area,

and it attracts the biggest crowds, so barrier bosses there go down very quickly.

If your weapon has a relatively slow attack speed,

consider switching to a faster-attacking weapon just while you’re taking part in the barrier.

Another tip: adjust your view so the monument’s sloped face is on the right side of the screen, then position your character in front of it.

I’ve found that most barrier bosses spawn in that spot.👍

Staying close to the boss monster’s spawn point

helps you avoid missing out on rewards because the boss went down while you were still moving in to attack.

*Keep in mind that this may vary depending on factors such as the hunting area’s difficulty~

If you’d like to use up your attempts and collect rewards more quickly,

check the chat window once you’ve cleared the barrier in your field, including its boss.

Other adventurers may be sharing locations in field chat where the barrier boss is still alive.

With a little luck, you can quickly join a barrier on another channel and complete two runs before time runs out!

If you’re in a guild, try coordinating with your guildmates.

Traveling to a guildmate on another channel is another good way to get there~

If you’re still a low-level adventurer,

I recommend visiting a field with a higher level requirement rather than a hunting area that matches your level.

Low-level field hunting areas like 여신의 뜰 have fewer players,

which can make it difficult to complete the barrier mission within the time limit.

Taking on all those incoming monsters alone can be quite challenging, too,

so if your character isn’t properly set up, you may fail the defense and end up with nothing to show for your time.

Instead, head to a relatively high-level field hunting area where more players gather,

then take part in the barrier and collect your rewards.

Since reaching 구름 황야 or Sen Mag Plateau requires progress through the main story, I recommend 얼음 협곡!

You should find more adventurers there than in 여신의 뜰, making it easier to take part in barriers.

Defeat the incoming monsters within the time limit and purify the field!

Keep at it, and your Combat Power will climb before you know it~
