Showing Off My Long-Loved Character: My Time with 네오피르 in Mabinogi Mobile

This post was created as part of my participation in Nexon PEAK activities.

Of all the characters I have spent years playing, 네오피르 from Mabinogi Mobile came unexpectedly to mind. I created them at launch, and I still remember getting to know familiar faces all over again. I also have screenshots of battles with enormous bosses and time spent with other players. For this post, I have gathered those memories of Erinn, from my character's very first appearance to how they look today.

1. 네오피르's Beginnings with Black Pigtails

I created my character on March 27, 2025, the day Mabinogi Mobile launched. Back then, they had black pigtails and wore a pink top. I named them 네오피르. I still have a screenshot of that level 1 character, with “Apprentice Bard” listed in the status window.

I found a record of that day in my achievements, too. “Potential as a Dancer” says I completed the Dancer class advancement quest on March 27, 2025. Seeing that first screenshot alongside the quest record brings my first day into a little clearer focus.

2. Familiar Faces in Erinn

While playing Mabinogi Mobile, I once unintentionally(?) won Fergus's heart. That was not quite the kind of closeness I had in mind, and I remember being rather flustered. Looking through the screenshots from my character's journey, I discovered I had saved that moment, too.

I also have screenshots of my first encounters with Morrighan and the Succubus, two characters that come to mind whenever I think of Mabinogi. It was fun to meet those familiar characters for myself in Mabinogi Mobile. Finding them one by one as I followed the story is another part of my memories with this character.

Kristell, in particular, looked even prettier than I had expected. I remember falling for her charms myself. How could Tarlach not see how she felt? You fool, Tarlach.

3. Memories of Vindictus and Nerve-Racking Battles

I used to enjoy playing Vindictus, too, so I was especially glad to see Ceara, Gallagher, and the Gnoll Chieftain in Mabinogi Mobile. I had not expected to find them here, but the game captured the feel of Vindictus as I remembered it remarkably well.

It was a different game, but seeing those familiar figures naturally took me back to my time in Vindictus. Following my character's journey in Mabinogi Mobile had brought back memories of another game along the way.

When I first encountered Glas Ghaibhleann, its sheer size made my heart race. My character looked so small beside that enormous boss. They were level 53 at the time. The same character who had started at level 1 was now standing up to an opponent like this.

I also have screenshots of meeting and fighting Lann and Kai. They were familiar faces, but that did not make their test easy. I remember it being harder than expected, and plenty of players struggled with it at the time. Two against one—hardly fair.

Still, the screenshot shows the dialogue confirming that I had passed the “Adventurer's Preparedness (4)” test. My character was level 55 then. Somewhere along the way, that apprentice bard had come far enough to pass their test.

4. Bosses We Fought Together and Quiet Everyday Moments

No look back at those battles would be complete without the weekly field bosses. A little earlier, at level 49, I had gone to fight 페리. Dozens of players had gathered to take down a single boss.

I do not remember the fight being particularly difficult. Just having so many people gathered in one place, playing together, was exciting in itself. It was a different kind of fun from the nervous thrill of facing a giant boss for the first time.

There is also a screenshot of a quiet fishing break after I had finished all my quests. Beside the boss battle screenshots, it has quite a different feel. My character's journey had moments like this, too—time to pause and catch my breath.

Of course, even those peaceful days came with unexpected tests. Simon showed me a red square and asked me to choose between crimson, fluorescent real red, and carmine red. Faced with Mabinogi's color test myself, I was at a loss. I had gone from fighting bosses to puzzling over a shade of red.

5. 몰리, Still My Favorite NPC

I have met plenty of characters, but 몰리 is still my favorite NPC. I liked her cute, quirky personality from our very first conversation.

I liked how she would appear for a chat whenever I cleared a dungeon, too. Beyond the levels my character gained, I remember the people I grew fond of simply by seeing them so often. 몰리 was always an especially welcome face.

Lately, perhaps because it is Halloween, she has been turning up in a lovely costume, making her visits even nicer.

6. A Level 1 Screenshot and My Level 100 Character Today

Here are the jiangshi outfit and hopping emote I received in a recent giveaway. Gifts like these are part of the pleasure of logging in regularly.

네오피르 is now level 100. The black pigtails are gone; they now have red hair and wear a hat with a yellow talisman attached. Their long outfit is blue and black, and they have the title “Charismatic Dancer” equipped.

Compared with that first level 1 screenshot, both their appearance and the impression they give have changed quite a bit. Revisiting the characters and bosses I met along the way, along with those quiet fishing moments, brought back memories that the numbers alone could never capture.

Closing Thoughts

Looking at that level 1 character with black pigtails brings those familiar faces back one by one. Fergus, who unexpectedly gave me his heart; Lann and Kai, who were a welcome sight even if they unfairly teamed up against me; and 몰리, who stopped by to chat whenever I finished a dungeon. That one little character held more memories than I had realized.

Their hair color and clothes have changed, but their name is still 네오피르. When I return to Erinn now and then and look at that name, I feel a quiet connection between those first days of wandering and where I am today.

Someday, today's screenshots will be old memories, too. If I can look back at them with a fond smile, I think the time I have spent with this character will stay with me for a long while.
