Hello!

I'm PEAKer 도로나기.

Do you watch anything while gaming? I never used to, but lately I've been putting something on.

Auto-battling or grinding the same enemies can really make you sleepy, can't it?

I usually try to avoid multitasking, but for that kind of thing, I always make sure I have something to watch.

I watch dramas or anime, though I tend to go for anime more often.

That's mostly because the episodes are short, usually around 20 minutes.

A 1-cour season has about 12 episodes, so 12×20 = 240 minutes, or 4 hours for the whole thing.

It's nice to be able to pause whenever I want, do something else, and pick it back up later.

After watching plenty of anime while gaming, I've noticed something.

For gaming sessions, I definitely wouldn't recommend plot-heavy anime.

Those shows deserve their own time slot and your full attention.

Otherwise, you'll just end up thinking, “Wait, what happened?” and rewinding.

Instead, I'd recommend light anime you can enjoy with your brain switched off.

If you're here for serious anime recommendations, now's the time to hit the back button.

I'll keep it to 3 recommendations.

Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma - Ages 15 and up

This one's all about cooking.

It follows a simple, easy-to-follow cycle: cook, taste, pass or fail! That makes it an easy watch.

Keep it on to the side, and whenever a judge goes “Ooooh!!” you'll find yourself glancing over ㅋㅋㅋ

It seems serious at first, but the story goes further and further off the rails...

And it's just plain funny. This is a comedy.

With a full 5 seasons, there's plenty to keep you watching.

KonoSuba: God's Blessing on This Wonderful World! (KonoSuba) - Ages 15 and up

My name is Megumin... Explosion magic!

It's really just a comedy dressed up as fantasy ㅋㅋㅋ

Just look at the characters. You can tell they're goofy at a glance, can't you?

There are currently 3 seasons out, with season 4 planned for 2027.

Laid-Back Camp - Ages 15 and up

This is classic comfort anime.

It's about girls going camping.

The scenery is lovely, making it perfect for giving your eyes a little break while gaming.

There are 3 seasons out, plus a movie. Season 4 is planned for 2027.

That wraps up my picks.

Comedy and comfort anime really do seem to be the best fit for watching while gaming.

“But I still want to watch something serious while I game.”

In that case, I'll recommend just 1.

86 EIGHTY-SIX - Ages 15 and up

This one's military sci-fi.

It follows child soldiers fighting on the battlefield.

The story and emotional arcs are excellent, and the direction and soundtrack are spot-on.

It's been a while since I got to talk about my area of expertise, so I got a little carried away.

Thanks for reading!
