It's an anime channel, so here's an anime rec.

If you know, you know. If you don't, you don't. Which, sure, you could say about pretty much anything, but anyway. That kind of anime.

But I'm not recommending it because it's some incredible anime that serves up absurd dopamine hits and makes that weary trudge to work or school a little less painful, and I simply must let everyone know about it.

This kind of anime. Honestly, the poster says it all. Stylish as hell.

The storyline itself? Nothing especially remarkable, I'd say.

Genre-wise, it's a supernatural battle anime, and neither the themes nor the way the plot unfolds will have you slapping your knee and declaring it a masterpiece.

That said, I can guarantee it's leagues above the cookie-cutter stuff you throw on with dinner, where you can miss a few scenes while deciding which side dish to eat and barely notice you've missed anything.

Would I recommend that stuff? Well, occasionally. Maybe. Life gets rough enough that sometimes you and a show just switch your brains off together and call it a good time.

Anyway, seeing action powerhouse Bones behind it is reassuring all on its own. Whatever else happens, at least your eyes are in for a treat.

Anyway, it's got a little of that old-school Soul Eater vibe, and the sheer style and satisfyingly punchy action were enough to make it worth watching. Definitely one of the more memorable anime I've watched recently. Recent-ish, anyway.

Honestly, I'm the kind of person who closes a book and immediately forgets all the details, with nothing left but the impression it made,

and I can't even remember people's names until I've seen them regularly for about a week. So this is less "won't cover it" and more "can't."
