MapleStory: An Ongoing Attendance Event with a Variety of In-Game Currency Rewards

This post was created as part of Nexon PEAK activities.
Hello.
In MapleStory, regular activities such as defeating bosses, gathering, and hunting provide resources, but events can also be a substantial source of them.
Attendance events and coin shop events used to run with breaks between them, but they now run almost continuously. This article covers the resources available through these events based on their recent formats.
Unless there is a major overhaul, the types and quantities of rewards are likely to remain consistent, making this a useful reference, especially for new players who want to understand how these events work and what they offer.
These events fall into three main categories: attendance events, coin shops, and boss coin shops.
[Attendance Events]

Attendance events work just as their name suggests, and you can identify them by the [Attendance Event] prefix in their titles.
Previously, you had to defeat monsters within your level range or click an attendance button, but the system has since been simplified so that logging in is enough to register your attendance.
You can register daily attendance up to 5 times per week, with 1 extra week built into the overall event period. If you miss a day, you can make it up by purchasing a pass for 3000 Maple Points per missed day.

The rewards available from this event are listed below, grouped into growth resources related to EXP, cosmetic resources such as outfits, mounts, and chairs, and enhancement resources used to improve items.

Over the past year, these events have run for 13 weeks, 9 weeks, or 3 weeks, with the duration varying according to the circumstances of each event.
The quantity of rewards depends on the event's duration, with longer events offering more. The example above is from a 9-week event, while the others are shown below.

Although more rewards may be added in the future, you can generally expect these items to remain in the reward lineup unless their associated systems are removed or overhauled.
In addition to these items, you receive 3 Triple EXP Coupons as a basic reward each time you register attendance. You can exchange 15 of these for 1 Quadruple EXP Coupon, although doing so offers less value overall.
During [Challenger World] seasons, this event supports character progression in several ways, with rewards such as Symbol Selector Coupons and Event Ring Selector Coupons positioned along the reward track to match the pace of leveling.
Attendance also grants event-specific coins, which you can spend in the event shops described below.
[Event Shops]

Event shops have the [Attendance Event] prefix in their titles and are also listed separately under coin shops in the event list. Their stock is divided into two main tabs: Enhancement and Growth.

As with attendance rewards, the item selection remains largely the same, with only the quantities adjusted from one event to another. Popular items include Event Ring Legendary Potential Scrolls and dedicated cubes; Karma Silver Cubes, which, unlike Memento Cubes, have no item level restriction; Clean Slate Scrolls 100% and Innocence Scrolls, which are useful for scroll enhancement; and Event Ring Selector Coupons.
If you are building your Legion, Golden Strawberry Farm Entry Tickets and Extreme Growth Potions in the Growth tab can also be a significant help.
The number of coins available varies by event, but this event offered 1 thousand coins each time you registered attendance, for a substantial total of 40 thousand coins.

Meso shops always run alongside these events, and you can purchase VIP Buffs there when no boss coin shop is available. Their item selection also remains largely the same, except for the Special tab, which sells cosmetic items that change with each event's theme.
[Boss Events]

Finally, boss coin events have the [Boss Event] prefix in their titles and let you spend coins earned from defeating weekly bosses in a dedicated coin shop.

These events have the following key features.
-
Only solo clears count
-
Practice Mode clears also count
-
You only need to defeat the strongest boss you can clear
-
The coin rewards per boss shown above may change in the future
-
Boss coin events do not accompany every event period

Compared with regular coin shops, boss coin shops offer somewhat more valuable items, along with some items that restock weekly. While this adds another task to your MapleStory routine during the event, the rewards justify the extra effort, making these events something many players look forward to.
