Started playing Mabinogi Mobile but not sure what everyone means by “currency”? Simply put, it's the money you use to buy things or pay for what you need in the game!

Mabinogi Mobile has 3 types of currency: M Cash, Deca, and Gold. M Cash is a premium currency you purchase with real money, while Deca and Gold can be earned and spent in the game. Today, I'll leave M Cash aside and share my own tips for earning the Deca and Gold you'll use as you play!

As a self-proclaimed pro life player, I've got some seriously valuable tips to share. Just for you, here's a look at the methods I actually use!

Before we get to my tips, let's take a closer look at what each currency is used for. How you earn it and where you spend it depend on whether you need Gold or Deca!

First, Gold is earned through rewards for activities like part-time jobs and used to upgrade your equipment. For example, “Engraving Enhancement,” which raises your equipment's tier, requires materials and plenty of Gold. You can also earn it in dungeons, hunting grounds, the Abyss, and more—but you'll spend plenty of it as you play, too.

Deca is the currency used to buy and sell items on the marketplace. You can also use it to purchase certain cash shop products, such as sequential packages! Whether you're buying clothes or combat equipment on the marketplace, you'll need Deca. Compared to Gold, there are fewer ways to earn it.

The main way to earn Deca is to sell items on the marketplace and collect the proceeds, but that's not your only option. You can also earn Deca by watching hints all the way through under [Menu] → [Play Hints]. If you have hints you haven't checked yet, you can learn about the game and pick up rewards along the way.

You can also earn Deca by buying books you haven't read and reading them to the end. It sometimes appears in the daily free items, too!

For today, though, I'll cover the main ways to earn currency and share some personal tips I haven't revealed anywhere else!

First, I pay for a membership and make sure to complete the special part-time jobs every week. These jobs require either a Life Membership or a Combined Membership. Regular part-time jobs are available separately.

The best part about membership part-time jobs? You can do them on each character! The more alternate characters you level up, the more value you'll get from a membership and these jobs. Just remember that special part-time jobs reset every Monday at 6 a.m.

For dungeon earnings, the daily part-time job that takes you to the Shining Cave is another source of Gold. You can enter on Mondays and Thursdays, while Sundays let you choose any one daily dungeon. After clearing it, you can also claim “Extra Loot,” which gives you additional rewards. It costs some Gold, but the rewards when you hit the jackpot are so generous that I just can't pass it up!

When checking how much you can earn from a field boss, pay attention to both the boss and the difficulty. At the current highest field boss difficulty, [드레흐에넴] on Very Hard, you can earn 200,000 Gold per week.

For raids, clearing 카브락, 에이렐, or Succubus gives you 100,000 Gold each, regardless of difficulty. After clearing a raid, talk to the Captain NPC to receive an additional 400,000 Gold.

Among dungeons, the Depths, and hunting grounds, hunting grounds are the go-to choice for collecting Gold! Not sure which one to visit? Check the [Gold] section in the [Level] tab under [Menu] → [Growth Guide].

As I mentioned earlier, Gold goes toward all sorts of things, including equipment enhancement, transcendence, and cooking ingredients, so every little bit counts.

Here's one of my personal tips: make sure to buy the [Star Seal Selection Box] and [Blue Moon Seal Selection Box] from NPC Evan every week and sell them! That brings in a tidy 100,000 Gold—always a welcome boost!

As mentioned in Part 1, you can earn Deca as you play by checking [Play Hints] or reading [Books] you haven't read yet. For most of my Deca earnings, though, I turn to the marketplace.

Now that we're in Season 2, I've been selling items like Soul Stones, food, and High-Grade Acid Magic Grenades. I sell food with players in mind who need to rush into combat but haven't prepared a meal to share.

That's why I keep an eye on Mondays and the release of new raids or Abyss content. When new Abyss content arrives, players figuring out how to clear it, taking on the challenge, or trying to set records will be looking for food and combat supplies!

My approach to earning Deca isn't about following everyone else and selling one particular item as though it's the only right choice. It's about asking, “Who needs this item right now?” I choose food because it's part of what players need to prepare for combat.

Of course, I can't know why every buyer made a purchase. Focusing on Mondays and new content releases is a judgment call based on my own experience—not a guarantee that anything listed then will sell.

Still, if you enjoy these kinds of life activities, my approach is worth a look. Making a sale can become a goal for the items you craft, giving you a different sense of achievement from earning combat rewards.

That said, there's one important marketplace detail to keep in mind: listing an item doesn't mean you'll receive Deca right away.

You only get paid when another player buys it.

Sometimes, that means settling in for what feels like an endless wait. Even if you've stocked up on combat supplies to sell, don't count on an immediate sale and start planning how to spend that Deca just yet.

Also, not every item can be sold! First, check the item's Deca Marketplace eligibility indicator. Even if it's the same type of item as one that's tradable, you'll still need to check whether your particular item can be traded.

You'll also need to know the difference between the commission and the listing fee. The commission is deducted when you collect your sales proceeds, while the listing fee is a deposit you pay when you list an item.

The listing fee is returned when the sale goes through normally or the listing period ends, but you won't get it back if you cancel the listing yourself before it expires. The commission is 15%, so an item sold for 5,000 Deca leaves you with 4,250 Deca in net proceeds.

Today, I've shared a quick overview of how to earn Gold and Deca, along with my personal tips. As we covered earlier, Gold goes toward equipment upgrades, while Deca lets you buy marketplace items and certain cash shop products! Which currency you focus on collecting first will depend on what you'd like to buy.

I've been saving up Deca this way to buy clothes for my alternate characters and equipment for combat. Personally, since Deca is rarer than Gold, I say the more you have, the better!
