Hello!
I'm 피스타임, a Nexon PEAK creator.

If you want to get more comfortable controlling your character, try spending some time in a training area. You can focus on the controls without worrying about dodging enemy attacks, while repeating the same sequence helps you learn skill combos.
In Mabinogi Mobile, you can practice your skills against training dummies. This guide focuses on the Greatsword Warrior, covering where to practice, how to perform the skill rotation, and what to keep in mind when using your ultimate.

1. Training Area Locations in Mabinogi Mobile

To practice your skills in Mabinogi Mobile, use the scarecrow crew members on the Guild Ship or the training dummies available during free sparring at Tir Chonaill School.

You can also practice against monsters in the field, but enemies that fall too quickly can interrupt your rotation. Training dummies are a convenient option when you want to test the same skill sequence repeatedly.

Practice Target |

Scarecrow Crew Members |

Tir Chonaill School Free Sparring |
Training Dummies |
Choose whichever location you prefer. The school lets you train alone, while the Guild Ship allows you to practice alongside guild members, but is only available once your guild has completed stage 2 of ship construction.
2. Understanding the Greatsword Warrior

In Mabinogi Mobile, your skills change depending on your accessories, so you should practice with the combination you use. The rotation covered here uses the currently popular Severance, Elasticity, and Berserker setup, known as the 절탄광 combination.

The Greatsword Warrior's skills change depending on whether the sword is held in front of or behind the character. Using skills with the sword in the correct position builds Tempo, which in turn determines the skill available in slot 5.
Rather than simply pressing whichever skill comes off cooldown, focus on matching your skills to your sword's position so you can build Tempo as you continue attacking.

Keeping track of your sword's position may feel difficult at first. To help, watch for skills that light up, excluding skill 5. These highlighted skills build Tempo, giving you a clear indication of what to use next.
3. Practicing the Skill Rotation
|
Step |
Skill Inputs |
Purpose |
|---|---|---|
|
1. Opening and Debuff Refresh (Every 90 Seconds) |
145 |
Build 2 Tempo, then use Heart Thrust |
|
2. Vitality Burst (When Available) |
55 |
Vitality Burst → Wind Slash |
|
3. Repeating Rotation |
14315 → 1425 |
Build 3 Tempo in each sequence, then use Wind Slash |
|
4. When Using Your Ultimate |
Vitality Burst → Ultimate |
Gain the Vitality Burst buff before using your ultimate |
The key to this rotation is to open with Heart Thrust at 2 Tempo, then repeatedly use Wind Slash at 3 Tempo. When fully charged, Heart Thrust applies a debuff that lasts for 90 seconds, dealing damage over time and increasing the damage the enemy takes.

Pressing 5 at 0 Tempo activates Vitality Burst, which grants an attack-enhancing buff for 15 seconds and immediately raises Tempo to its maximum. Pressing 5 twice in succession lets you follow Vitality Burst directly with Wind Slash.
For the full rotation, start with 145 → 55, then repeat 14315 → 1425, adding 55 whenever Vitality Burst becomes available again.

Skill availability can vary depending on the cooldown reduction stats on your gems. If the next skill in your sequence is still on cooldown, work in 15 to fill the gap.
4. Practicing in Combat

Once you are comfortable performing the skill sequence against training dummies, try it in easy raids or Abyss content. In actual combat, you will need to dodge boss attacks and reposition, so it is important to practice using your skills while moving.
The Greatsword Warrior gains Break immunity and increased defense while preparing skills, making it well suited to withstanding attacks while maintaining the rotation. Still, avoid particularly dangerous attack patterns, and practice recognizing which attacks you can withstand and which you need to dodge.
Practice thoroughly at a familiar difficulty before taking the rotation into harder content. This will help you spend less effort remembering the skill sequence and make it easier to focus on the boss's movements.

This guide covered how to make use of the training areas in Mabinogi Mobile. If you are adjusting to a new accessory combination or often get your skill sequence mixed up during boss fights, try practicing with the training dummies on the ship and at Tir Chonaill School. I regularly use the training areas myself whenever my accessory setup changes from season to season.
