It’s been a while, but I’m back with another Mapleland quest guide. World Tour recently received some new content: the Kuala Lumpur map in Malaysia. The addition of Malaysia brings plenty of new quests to tackle, with new maps and monsters reportedly drawing heavily from Global MapleStory, or GMS. I really enjoyed Masteria, and this new map looks quite interesting too. This time, we’ll walk through Haliza’s A Gift for Dad quest in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in Mapleland.

Haliza

In Kuala Lumpur, you’ll meet Haliza, a Malaysian girl who looks a little like 우비소년 or 우비소녀. She wants to give her dad something special for his birthday and asks for your help choosing a gift. She’s certainly a thoughtful daughter.

She explains that her dad loves music, especially collecting musical instruments. With that in mind, she thinks he would be delighted to receive a Charmer’s flute.

Haliza asks you to defeat 100 Charmers and collect 100 Charmer’s Flutes. Since they’re for her father, she specifically asks for flutes in good condition. It’s quite a demanding favor to ask of someone visiting Malaysia, but she’s only a child, so let’s help her out.

Click Accept, and Haliza will thank you and ask you to promise to keep the gift a secret from her dad. With the quest underway, let’s head straight to the Charmer hunting area.

Where to Hunt Charmers

You can find Charmers at Muddy Banks 3 in Malaysia. They’re level 65, so this hunting area may be challenging if you’re outside the 60–70 level range. The monsters in Malaysia are surprisingly high-level. Defeat the Charmers and collect their flutes; using a 2x EXP coupon while hunting here will make it even more worthwhile.

Final Rewards

Once you’ve defeated 100 Charmers and collected 100 flutes, you’ll receive 10 Power Elixirs and 10,000 EXP. It’s quite a demanding quest, but the rewards are generous.

Haliza thanks you one last time, bringing A Gift for Dad to a close. Keep in mind that this is a daily quest, limited to 1 completion per day!
