While playing Mabinogi Mobile,
I met a friend I've stayed close to ever since.
We met by chance,
but somewhere along the way, we became best friends
and began sharing a place in My Home.

In this post, I'd like to share how our friendship grew,
introduce the friend system and My Home's move-in feature,
and talk about the benefits I've found
in living together.

🍀 A Cherished Friendship Found in Erinn

I've usually played games with people I already knew in real life.
That makes a friend I met and grew close to in a game a little special to me.

It was something small that brought us closer.
As we got to know each other, I was the first to reach out,
and our friendship grew from there.
I'll leave out the details, but the way our friendship began still makes me smile.

In Mabinogi Mobile, you can do more than add friends:
you can mark them as favorites and give them friend labels, too.
Favorites appear at the top of your friends list,
and depending on your settings, you can receive notifications when they log in.
It's a handy way to find the friends you play with most often.

Another lovely touch is the option to use the default “Close Friend” label
or choose something like Good Friend, Best Friend, Older Brother, Older Sister, or Comrade-in-Arms
to suit your relationship or your character's backstory.

One moment from when friend labels were first added has stayed with me.
Without ever discussing it, my friend and I both labeled each other “Best Friend”!
I remember us noticing it by chance and laughing.
It's a memory I still treasure, because it seemed we felt the same way about our friendship.

📦 Roommates? First, Let's Buy a House!

My friend and I now live together in My Home, too.
We even bought a large house the very day the My Home move-in system launched.

Mabinogi Mobile's move-in system allows other players to share
a My Home that one player has purchased.
The homeowner can invite someone to move in, or a prospective resident can apply.
Residents can then share the space without buying a house of their own.

We chose the house at 2-6 Emain Macha.
There's plenty of room to experiment with different interior layouts,
and it's conveniently located right in front of Emain Macha Square.
The price of 15 million gold is a bit steep, though.

As it happened, I had an alternate character with enough gold saved up,
so we decided I'd buy the house and my friend would move in.
That way, my friend could enjoy a spacious My Home without having to spend a large sum.

🛋 Decorating Our Home for Two, My Way

I love decorating My Home, but my friend isn't particularly interested in interior design.
So the decorating fell to me.
Since we'd be sharing the house, I took care to give us separate rooms that reflected our individual tastes.

I gave my room a cozy café feel,

and made my friend's room feel like an indoor garden.
My friend is more introverted than I am, so I also gave them the room farther from the entrance.

Decorating for two was different from decorating just for myself.
I enjoyed planning the space around my friend's personality and tastes as well as my own.
My friend got a space of their own without the pressure of decorating it themselves,
and I got to decorate a large house the way I wanted.

📡 The Perks of Sharing with the Homeowner

There's more to My Home than decorating: it also has features that make everyday activities easier.
The Material Transmitter and Return Beacon I placed in the house are two examples.
Once the homeowner or a resident places either furnishing, everyone living there can use it.

Material Transmitter	Lets you process and craft without first taking materials out of storage
Return Beacon	Lets you return directly to My Home from anywhere

I'd been using My Home regularly, so I already had both furnishings,
and my friend gained access to them after moving in.
I could enjoy decorating, something I've always loved,
while my friend enjoyed My Home's convenient features. The arrangement suited us both.

🐾 Here's to More Time Together, My Erinn Mate!

What began as a friendship in a game has continued to grow,
and now we're roommates sharing the same My Home.
From choosing the same “Best Friend” label without discussing it
to decorating a house that reflects both our tastes,
we've been gathering memories as we play together, one by one.

In Mabinogi Mobile, adding friends and setting friend labels lets you express those friendships,
while My Home's move-in feature gives you a space to share.
