Mabinogi Mobile: 3 Side Games to Play with Friends

This post was created as part of NEXON PEAK activities.

Alongside combat and life-skill content, Mabinogi Mobile offers
side games for some light entertainment.
They are a great way to take a break between tough battles and daily tasks,
and they are even more enjoyable with friends.

In this post, I will recommend three side games I have tried
that are particularly well suited to playing with friends.

💣 Bomb Coordination Challenge: A Great Choice for Friends Who Enjoy Co-op!

1
In this co-op game, 4 players work as a team to move onto bomb-free tiles.
The team fails if two or more players occupy the same tile or anyone stands on a tile with a bomb.

2
The rules are simple, but the game is surprisingly challenging in practice.
The pace leaves little time to discuss your moves with the rest of the party.
You have to anticipate where everyone else will go while finding a safe spot for yourself,
which naturally keeps you focused on the game.

3
I once took on Very Hard difficulty with my guildmates.
We wanted to clear it without a single mistake and earn a place in the side game rankings,
but even after nearly two hours of attempts, we did not make the leaderboard.
It was a disappointing result, but we still had fun.

4
The “Fantastic Harmony” achievement, earned by playing music with another player,
grants a 10% movement speed bonus. If a friend you are playing with has not unlocked it,
performing together is a simple way to meet the requirement and gain an advantage in the game.

🧠 Brain Power: A Great Choice for Friends Who Enjoy Quizzes!

5
Brain Power is a free-for-all game with questions ranging from number sequences
to general knowledge and trick questions, plus coins to collect as they appear on the floor.
A giant wall approaches from the distance, so you have to solve questions and collect coins at the same time.

6
I have always enjoyed quizzes, so this is my favorite side game.
I like putting my knowledge to use,
and watching a friend get knocked away by the wall after a wrong answer is entertaining too.

7
Sometimes, though, it is not clear which answer the game considers correct.
One question asked about the shape of the Earth.
The options included a ball shape and a slightly flattened sphere.
I knew that the Earth's rotation causes a slight bulge around the equator,
so I naturally chose the flattened sphere—only for it to be marked wrong!

8
My friend even teased me by asking whether I believed in the geocentric model.
I was puzzled that the game's answer did not match what I knew,
but with friends, even moments like this become stories you can laugh about together.

9
There is also a title bonus to consider.
The “Diligence King” title increases movement speed by 30%,
but unlocking it requires completing 1000 part-time jobs, so it is not easy to earn.
When I play with friends who do not have it,
I am the only one with that extra speed, allowing me to collect plenty of coins.
If you want to collect more coins than your friends, be sure to check your titles!

🎨 Color Rush Blitz: A Great Choice for Competing with Friends!

10
Color Rush Blitz is a recently added side game
where you race to claim as many tiles as possible in your color.
“Rush Zones” can increase or decrease your movement speed,
so choosing your route carefully is important.

11
While the first two games focus on cooperation or quizzes,
Color Rush Blitz offers the fun of competing directly against other players.
Racing to claim tiles really brings out my competitive spirit.

12
This game also offers a title bonus:
“Hero of Dunbarton” increases your movement speed by 10% on your own tiles.
You earn this title naturally as you progress through the story,
and I appreciate not having to meet demanding extra requirements as I did for Diligence King.
That makes it easier to get started with friends and compete on similar terms.

🏁 Give Them a Try with Friends!

Those are my three side game recommendations for Mabinogi Mobile.
From nearly two hours of attempts at Bomb Coordination Challenge with my guildmates,
to a quiz answer in Brain Power that earned me some teasing from a friend,
to competing for tiles in Color Rush Blitz, each game offers its own kind of fun.

Combat and daily tasks are worth spending time on,
but it is also good to take a break and share a few laughs over side games with friends.
If there is one you have not played together yet, why not suggest trying it?
