Enjoy Mini-Games with Friends in Mabinogi Mobile, from Side Games to the 에이렐 Raid!

This post was created as part of Nexon PEAK activities.

Hello!

I'm 피스타임, a Nexon PEAK creator.

Taking on complex, challenging content can be fun, but sometimes you're in the mood for a light minigame with friends. That's when I often turn to Mabinogi Mobile.

Mabinogi Mobile has a variety of minigames to enjoy. You can even play along to the music in a minigame during the 에이렐 Raid, one of its combat activities.

Of course, it's still a raid, so you'll need to build up your character and learn the mechanics. But finding a minigame in the middle of a boss fight with friends really lightens the mood. Today, I'd like to introduce you to some of Mabinogi Mobile's minigames and the 에이렐 Raid.

1. A Variety of Side Games

Beyond combat and life skills, Mabinogi Mobile offers a range of minigames. You can put your heads together with friends to solve puzzles or challenge yourself to set new records on your own.

These activities are grouped together as Side Games. Existing activities such as 다그다's Tomb and 다그다's Twisted Ruins are included too, making this a good place to look when you want a break from combat.

First up, 다그다's Tomb and 다그다's Twisted Ruins offer puzzles to solve cooperatively with friends. 다그다's Tomb is designed for 4 players, while 다그다's Twisted Ruins is for 2.

In 다그다's Twisted Ruins, you'll encounter sections where you split up tasks, such as controlling a beetle golem and moving platforms, to solve puzzles together. You only need one friend to join you, so it's a good fit if you're looking for something to play as a pair.

If you enjoy examining clues and working out answers together, as you would in an escape room, this is worth a look. I previously posted a review on PEAK, so feel free to check it out if you're curious.

If you'd rather get a group together to chat and play, there's also Moonlit Werewolf. Simply put, it's a game of Mafia within Mabinogi Mobile.

The fun lies in concealing your identity, questioning others, and piecing together who everyone really is. Even your regular gaming friends might come under suspicion here. It's a good match for anyone who enjoys conversation and mind games with friends.

For solo play, there's Slime Rush. You use special skills to defeat slimes and score points within a 2-minute time limit. Clear the slimes to advance to the next stage, and earn 2 times the points during Fever Time. It's a great option for a short, focused session. You can't enter with friends, but there's plenty of fun in playing a quick round on your own and aiming for a higher score.

Farming-themed minigames have also been available, including the limited-time Weekend Green Garden. Players planted seeds, watered them, and harvested crops within a time limit. Depending on the weather and season, those plants could grow into premium crops, offering a different kind of fun from regular gathering. For a more detailed account of my experience, check out my earlier review.

Mabinogi Mobile's minigames cover everything from cooperative puzzles and deduction to score challenges and farming. Availability varies for limited-time activities, so check the Side Games menu and event announcements to see what's currently open.

2. Minigame Fun in the 에이렐 Raid

These minigames are great, but the activity I'd particularly like to highlight is the 에이렐 Raid. Its mix of combat and minigames really stood out to me.

에이렐's theme centers on enjoying song and dance together. While boss battles usually bring tense encounters to mind, the music and character movements give the 에이렐 fight a festive feel too.

Of course, you can't just stand back and watch. Get hit by red attack patterns and accumulate 3 musical notes, and your character will be forced to dance. Breaking into a dance when you should be fighting can be as amusing as it is inconvenient. It's a fitting way to weave the song-and-dance theme into the combat mechanics.

Hard difficulty is known for its individual rhythm-game mechanic. Between attacking the boss and dodging ground hazards, you'll reach a section where you have to play in time with the music. Each of the 4 party members must pick up an instrument and play it.

Playing a brief rhythm game in the middle of combat gave me a distinctly different experience from other raids. The music isn't just a backdrop—it becomes part of the gameplay, which made 에이렐 all the more memorable to me.

The recently added Very Hard difficulty also introduces a mechanic where the entire party follows the boss's dance together.

This is a different approach from the individual rhythm game on Hard difficulty. Party members watch 에이렐's dance and follow along together. Unlike the involuntary dancing caused by accumulating musical notes, this mechanic requires you to copy the boss's moves correctly to get through it.

When I tried it myself, I found this part fresh and entertaining. Watching party members who had been attacking the boss just moments earlier all dance together felt like taking a group dance break in the middle of the raid.

If you play Mabinogi Mobile with friends and have built up your characters enough to take on raids, consider trying these mechanics together in the 에이렐 fight. You get both the challenge of tackling a boss and the fun of playing minigames with your party.

Personally, 에이렐 is my favorite way to enjoy combat and minigames together in Mabinogi Mobile. More bosses will be added in the future, and I'd love to see small minigames that complement each boss's distinctive traits.

Why not try Side Games when you're in the mood for some lighthearted fun with friends, and the 에이렐 Raid when you'd like to mix in some combat? You can enjoy the same game in different ways, depending on what you feel like doing that day.
