Online RPG Recommendations: Who They're Best For
재파민

Hello from a fan of Nexon games,
재파민!

Today, I’m taking a look at who online RPGs are best suited for. I’ve been a dedicated MMORPG player since childhood, and these games have been a constant part of my life ever since.
If you’re interested in trying an online RPG for the first time, you might be wondering whether you’ll enjoy it. To help you decide, I’ve put together a brief guide to what makes the genre appealing, along with a game that showcases those strengths. Let’s get started.
1. Character Growth

If someone asked me what makes RPGs appealing, character growth would be my first answer. You start with a character who has very little, put time and effort into leveling them up, and equip them with items. Along the way, you can clearly see them growing stronger.
If that kind of progression appeals to you, it’s easy to become deeply immersed and enjoy the process. RPGs also let you dress your character in cute outfits, and I’ve found that developing a character I see myself in makes me genuinely invested in their growth.
2. Social Connections

For me, the true endgame of an RPG is the friendships you build with other players. As you develop your character, you naturally grow attached to them. You also meet plenty of other players along the way, and some of those encounters turn into friendships.
If you enjoy lively conversations and spending time with others, MMORPGs and RPGs are likely to be a good fit.

Of course, if you prefer playing solo, there are plenty of guilds and activities that cater to you, too. I used to play MapleStory only with my real-life friends, but I recently switched guilds and have been enjoying playing with everyone there. If you’re on the Bera server, you’re welcome to join the [친구] guild!
3. Boss Content and Rewards

Another highlight is defeating challenging bosses and collecting the items they drop. I regularly take on high-level bosses such as Limbo, 흉성, and 대적자. Their higher drop rates mean I occasionally come away with a valuable item. The thrill of those moments is something I think only regular RPG players can fully appreciate.
An RPG Worth Considering

There are countless RPGs available today, but one I enjoy playing is MapleStory, which you could call Korea’s national MMORPG. It brings together the excitement of finding valuable loot, the enjoyment of building friendships, and content that lets you be self-sufficient. That combination helps explain its lasting popularity.
That wraps up this guide to online RPG recommendations and who they suit best. If you like the idea of developing a character of your own, an RPG is worth a try. If you play on MapleStory’s Bera server, feel free to send me a friend request anytime! I hope this overview has been helpful.
