Today, I’ll show you how to play side games and share my TOP3 favorites from the ones I’ve played.

(*This ranking is based entirely on my personal taste.)

Here’s a quick look at the side games I’ll be recommending today!

• 컬러 러쉬 블리츠 (New September Minigame)

• 다그다의 무덤 1

• 구역팽이 치기 (Chuseok Minigame)

If you’re looking for a minigame to play casually with friends, my top recommendation from this list is “다함께 팽이치기!” Those short bursts of concentration are part of the fun, and you’ll soon find yourselves saying, “One more try?” as you try to beat your records.

It isn’t currently available through the Side Games tab, but there’s another way to play. I’ll explain how below, so keep reading!

First, you can find side games under [Menu (≡)] → [Side Games]. The list includes active games, games that have ended, and upcoming games, so not everything you see is available to enter right away. If a game is marked as ended, you can’t play it!

When playing with friends, you’ll also need to check each game’s entry requirements. For example, 컬러 러시 블리츠 is a side game for 4 players, but you can only enter solo or with a full party of 4. 괴도와 파수꾼, on the other hand, allows parties of 2–4! Once you’ve chosen a side game to play together, be sure to read its entry instructions and game description.

Now, let’s count down from 3rd place and look at why I recommend these three games!

First up is 컬러 러시 블리츠. Think of it as a game of claiming territory: tiles turn your color as you move across them, and the final rankings depend on how many tiles each player controls when the game ends.

Keep an eye on the glowing Rush Zones shown in the image. Passing through a [+] boosts your movement speed and builds your combo, while passing through a [-] slows you down and breaks your combo.

To keep your combo going, you need to reach the next [+] before the combo timer runs out. Build up a 4-hit combo to activate Booster Mode. I even pulled off some big comebacks by using the [+] Rush Zones for their speed buffs!!

My top tip is to make wide loops around the entire map! When deciding where to go next, check both the locations of the Rush Zones and their signs. I’d recommend this game to anyone who enjoys competition with unpredictable twists, like KartRider.

Next is 다그다의 무덤-1, a hidden dungeon that’s been around since roughly when I started playing. What I enjoyed was checking our respective stone tablets and telling each other what to do.

For example, the pillar-rotation puzzle asks you to figure out who should light up which pillar using written clues. You read hints such as “The bear lights up the horse on the pillar” and pass that information on to your friend.

You each need to read your clues and act on them, so sharing information becomes an engaging part of solving the puzzle. I really enjoyed picking out clues in the sentences and working out the solution together.

There’s also a section where you take on separate guide and agent roles. The guide works out the locations and calls them out, while the agent follows those directions to step on the platforms. I’d recommend it to players looking for something to do with friends besides combat, especially those who enjoy sharing clues and solving puzzles.

Another memorable part was the Ratman outfit you receive for completing 다그다의 무덤. You can’t dye the Ratman outfit, so wondering which color you’ll get adds to the fun.

And taking 1st place is 다함께 팽이치기!

To play, tap the screen to strike your spinning top when the pointer on the circular gauge enters the target zone. Consecutive successes build your combo and give you bonus time. Your record is how long you keep the top spinning.

I love those brief moments of intense concentration as I try to set a new record. If you enjoy games that test your timing and let you beat your records through focus, much like rhythm games, this should be a good fit.

While playing with a friend, we reached a point where it felt like we couldn’t push our records much further. Still, neither of us wanted to give up. We kept saying, “One more try?” and couldn’t stop playing.

There is one catch: this side game launched in late September as a Chuseok special and ended at 6 a.m. on October 1, 2026. You can still buy a spinning top as a toy from NPC Walter’s shop in Dunbarton! Your records won’t count toward the side game rankings, but if you’d like to see what the game is like, consider picking one up.

One thing I look forward to in Mabinogi Mobile is its little side games themed around occasions like Chuseok, Lunar New Year, and Halloween. They’re also a chance to make memories with friends, whether that’s spinning tops or hiding among Ratmen.

Here’s how to choose from today’s three games based on what you enjoy.

For me, “top spinning” is still the standout. I played for a full 1 hour, always asking, “One more try?” Even when it felt like I couldn’t improve my record any further, playing with a friend kept me trying again.

I recommend giving Mabinogi Mobile’s side games a try with your friends, too!
