Mabinogi Mobile | What Happens When You Team Up with Newbies? A Look at New Adventurers in Action
tissue

Did you know that Mabinogi Mobile has special features you can only experience when playing with new players?😄
Here’s a veteran’s view of newbies, along with the little events you can encounter as an experienced player!
When you create an account in Mabinogi Mobile, a sprout🌱 adventurer icon appears above your character’s head and stays there until you meet certain conditions. Only other players can see it, so newbies often have no idea there’s anything above their heads.
The official introduction (written in March ’26) lists these conditions:
1) 7 days have passed since a character on the account reached level 85
2) All sprout adventurer “Adventure Records” have been completed
[Adventure Records]
- Reach level 65
- Reach the maximum level (level 85)
- Complete your first class advancement
- Join a guild
- Play in your first ensemble
- Clear your first Deep Dungeon
- Clear your first Raid
- Clear your first Abyss
Meeting either of the two conditions above lets you graduate from sprout adventurer status. Now that the level cap has been raised to 100, you’ll probably need to reach level 100 to graduate.
The sprout’s color also tells you something. Adventurers who haven’t entered a friend invitation code have a light green sprout. Those who have already entered one, or whose window for entering a code has closed, have a green sprout.
Accounts with a max-level character are automatically promoted to veteran adventurer status after clearing Abyss on Very Hard difficulty. From then on, you can earn small perks by helping sprout adventurers.
Shown above are the beginner companion rewards you can receive for clearing dungeons, raids, and similar content with sprout adventurers. Even a chance encounter can earn you these rewards, so they’re the ones you’re most likely to see.
These rewards include items that are always useful to have on hand, from various processed materials to ore and mana stones. That makes running into a sprout player all the more welcome. They’re all worth stocking up on—a handy little bonus, right?
There are also rewards you can only earn by adding a sprout adventurer as a friend.

The first is the Sprout Adventurer’s Gift Box, which arrives by mail when your newbie friend completes their class advancement.
You need to have added the newbie as a friend before their first class advancement, so I think this might be the hardest reward to come across.
You can also receive the same reward by mail whenever your friend reaches a special milestone, such as clearing their first Deep Dungeon or passing level 85.
Personally, the messages included in the mail left more of an impression on me than the items. A great first step into the abyss—isn’t that adorable? Watching a friend grow is a reward in itself.
They aren’t pictured here, but there are also messages for your friend’s first ensemble and for joining a guild, so be sure to check those out!
Last up is the “Kind” title. You’ll need to be friends with the sprout adventurer to earn this one, too.
It’s the reward for the “Kind Neighbor” achievement under Account Achievements–Fantasy Life. You can earn it immediately by clearing a Dungeon, Abyss, Raid, or Hunting Ground with a sprout friend.
The effect it grants when equipped is minor, but it’s easier to earn than other conditional titles like Emergency Escape or Strange Encounter. I definitely recommend picking it up!
That covers the little events and perks you can enjoy while playing with sprout players. The system is already worthwhile, but I think a wider range of incentives could encourage experienced players to take a more active role in helping out.
What could be better than a warm welcome to help adventurers who have just set foot in Erinn continue their journeys? On that note, I’ll wrap up here, with the hope that helping new players becomes an even stronger part of the community. Thank you😋
