Mabinogi Mobile Pet Recommendations: Finding Pets That Are Both Cute and Capable

This post was created as part of Nexon PEAK activities.

Hello!
I'm 피스타임, a Nexon PEAK creator.

In mobile RPGs, pets can be both companions who help in combat and comforting friends whose presence alone brings joy. Some players choose pets for their cute or stylish looks, while others focus on improving their character's performance.

In Mabinogi Mobile, you can choose combat pets and town pets separately, so you can enjoy the best of both. Today, I'll recommend pets for each purpose, from companions who help in battle to cute pets you'll want by your side in town.

1. Recommended Pets for Combat

In Mabinogi Mobile, pets contribute to combat through their companion stats, unique skills, and general skills. All three matter, but companion stats should be your top priority.

Recommended Pet

Companion Stats

Unique Skill

Apricot Piglet

Critical Hit + Break

Increased Additional Hit Chance

Light Brown Shih Tzu

Critical Hit + Additional Hit

Shield

Black and Tan Pomeranian

Critical Hit + Heavy Hit Enhancement

Ultimate Gauge Charge

Frilled Norwegian Forest Cat

Critical Hit + Heavy Hit Enhancement

HP Recovery

Light Gray Raccoon, Brown Bear Cub

Critical Hit + Multi-Hit Enhancement

Relatively Low Combat Contribution

The table above lists my 6 recommended pets. Each has Critical Hit as a companion stat, paired with Additional Hit, Break, Heavy Hit Enhancement, or Multi-Hit Enhancement.

The best choice depends on the stats your class needs and the unique skills that suit it. Let's take a closer look at each pet.

Apricot Piglet: Recommended for Endgame Content

First up is the Apricot Piglet. Its companion stats are Critical Hit and Break, which have earned it the Korean nickname “치브돼지,” short for “Critical-Break Pig.”

I recommend it for players tackling endgame content such as Abyss Hell or Nightmare 드릴. Break is important in both, so its companion stats are a good fit. Its unique skill also increases Additional Hit chance, boosting your damage output.

At Legendary grade, I recommend Reflexes as its general skill. It reduces the unique skill's cooldown, helping you deal more damage.

Light Brown Shih Tzu: Additional Hits and Survivability

The Light Brown Shih Tzu is my recommendation for players looking to combine Critical Hit and Additional Hit. Its unique skill grants a shield when its owner's HP is at 50% or below, improving survivability.

For general skills, I recommend Defense-Weakening Curse and Reflexes.

Black and Tan Pomeranian: When Ultimates Matter

If you're looking for Critical Hit and Heavy Hit Enhancement, I recommend the Black and Tan Pomeranian. Its unique skill charges the Ultimate gauge, making it worth considering for classes that rely on their Ultimate.

It's particularly useful for classes like Bard, whose Ultimate plays an important role. For the Black and Tan Pomeranian's general skill, I recommend Reflexes.

Frilled Norwegian Forest Cat: Heavy Hits and Survivability

The Frilled Norwegian Forest Cat also combines Critical Hit and Heavy Hit Enhancement. Unlike the Black and Tan Pomeranian, however, its unique skill restores HP.

For general skills, I recommend Defense-Weakening Curse and Reflexes.

Light Gray Raccoon and Brown Bear Cub: When You Need Multi-Hit Enhancement

The Light Gray Raccoon and Brown Bear Cub both provide Critical Hit and Multi-Hit Enhancement. The Brown Bear Cub wears a skirt, which has earned it the nickname “Skirt Bear.”

However, these two pets are lower on my list when choosing a pet to fully develop. Their combination of Critical Hit and Multi-Hit Enhancement is useful, but their unique skills contribute relatively little to combat. Before committing to a pet for the long term, I recommend comparing unique skills as well.

2. Cute Pets to Keep You Company in Town

Next, let's look at some pets I'd recommend for their appearance. Choosing a town pet is all about finding a companion you'd like to have around, so personal taste matters most here.

First up is the Festival English Sheepdog. Its birthday-party look is very cute, and it would fit right in at a birthday celebration.

Next is the Brown Pomeranian. Its raincoat is cute, but my favorite detail is the rain effect above its head.

That wraps up my pet recommendations for Mabinogi Mobile, covering both performance and appearance. It's reassuring to have a pet that helps you through difficult battles, but I think a cute companion you love having around can be just as much a reason to enjoy the game.

Choose a combat pet that suits your class and the content you're tackling, and let personal taste guide your choice of town pet. I hope you find a companion you'll enjoy adventuring with.
