With the Hachuping collaboration event now open, a lot of players are trying for 자석펫. Many are going in without knowing the actual rates.

MapleStory official website guide lists the 자석펫 rates in detail, so it is a good reference to check first. The information can be a little complicated, so I have summarized it briefly here. I hope this helps, and I will get right into it.

Wonderberry Rates

To get a MapleStory 자석펫, you basically need 2 Wonderberry pets. The chance of getting the materials from 'Wisp's Wonderberry' is 9.96%. Since one Wisp's Wonderberry bundle contains 11 pulls, opening one full set usually gives you about 1 pet. To at least break even, you need to get 2 or more.

If you get 2 or more here, you can try for a 자석펫.

Luna Crystal Sweet Rates

When you combine 2 normal-grade Wonderberry pets, the chance of getting a MapleStory 자석펫 is 11.64%. In other words, it comes out to about 1 success in 10 tries. Of course, you might get lucky and pull one on your first attempt, but even after 10 tries, it may still not appear, so the risk is fairly high.

Wonderberry pets are traded at around 1.8 billion mesos each, so if you already have a 자석펫 or simply want to buy a finished one, I recommend selling consistently and saving up your mesos.

Luna Crystal Dream Rates

Among the MapleStory 자석펫 rates, the highest is Luna Crystal Dream. When you combine W (Wonderberry) and S (Sweet), there is a 20.4% chance of getting a 자석펫.

The Sweet grade can only be obtained when you combine 2 Wonderberry-grade pets and get it instead of a 자석펫. This is the point where you come out ahead if you pull it, and if the attempt fails, you get Luna instead, which is a non-tradable grade.

For MapleStory 자석펫, buying one outright is the best option. This is a double-gacha system, and even if you get one more chance, failing to pull it can still cost you over 5 billion mesos, so the risk is high. If your mesos are limited, it is worth thinking carefully before going in.

Because you have to clear both layers of the double-gacha to get a 자석펫, buying a finished one is usually the less stressful option. Even so, if you want to aim for the biggest possible profit, it may still be worth trying.
