MapleStory Giant Head Item Review, with Unique Styling Recommendations
재파민

Hello to everyone who loves Nexon games,
this is Jaepamin!

Now that I’ve finished my target spec-up, I’m back to collecting cosmetic items again. This time, I finally took the plunge and bought the Gigantic Head item I’d been wanting for a while.
A big part of MapleStory’s appeal is decorating your character however you want, so I think collecting rare items matters too. For anyone wondering what kind of item Gigantic Head is, I put together a quick summary of the key info. I hope it serves as a helpful reference, and with that, let’s get into it.

1. Gigantic Head Preview |

Gigantic Head is an item that was released in summer 2026 through the BTS Jin collaboration event. Once equipped, your character’s head becomes more than twice as large. It’s a simple effect, but the design itself is cute, so after it was discontinued, the price skyrocketed.

When it was still available, it was going for around 3 to 5 billion mesos, but now it trades at around 15 billion. In my case, someone had put one up as a quick sale and knocked 2 billion off the price, so I grabbed it fast. I’d wanted it for a while but kept talking myself out of it because of the cost, so I was really happy to pick it up under good conditions.

More importantly, equipping Gigantic Head also makes the head in your illustrated portrait bigger. It’s a surprisingly cute little detail, so some people even buy it just for illustration styling.

2. Styling Ideas |

Honestly, there isn’t really a special way to style around it. Gigantic Head is already cute just by itself, so pretty much any outfit ends up looking good with it. It looks especially nice with high-cuteness face options like Mwoyo Face or Aing Face.

Personally, I sometimes equip the Big Head Meso Ranger Hair. It was already on the larger side to begin with, but Gigantic Head applies to that too, so it ends up looking about 10 times bigger than a normal head. It’s great if you want to draw attention, so it’s fun to wear in hunting maps or in town. Just be careful in boss content, since people might call you a troll.

3. Chances of a Re-release |

As for MapleStory’s Gigantic Head, it’s basically safe to say it won’t be re-released. Since it was an item based on an idea from BTS’s Jin, it has a lot of scarcity, and it doesn’t seem likely to come back. The BTS set released before this didn’t go up in price after being discontinued, but unless an item is just a filler label, re-releases are almost nonexistent, so this feels like the floor. If you want the item, it’s better to buy it sooner rather than later.
That wraps up my MapleStory Gigantic Head review and cosmetic item recommendation. If you’re someone who enjoys styling, I think it’s worth picking up for the rarity alone. It’s also easy to build outfits around, so I expect I’ll be wearing it often. I hope this was helpful, and I’ll end the post here.
