A MapleStory-themed escape room has arrived for fans of online RPGs!

If you're an online RPG fan, what kind of offline experience is worth trying outside the game itself? One standout recommendation is MAPLESTORY ESCAPE, an escape room that reimagines MapleStory regions in real life. It gives players the chance to step into familiar in-game spaces and take on the role of the adventure’s protagonist by solving puzzles together with their party.

The setting is the Library of Dimensions. Your objective is to recover dimensional fragments tied to five books with missing endings and complete their stories. The setup is especially intriguing, feeling very much like an in-game quest brought into a real-world escape room.

There are five themes in total. Although all of them draw from MapleStory, each one takes a different genre approach, from thriller and arcade to mystery, stealth, and co-op, making it easy to choose one that suits your taste.

According to reviews from players who visited in person, the way MapleStory elements were incorporated and recreated was particularly well received. Many said it worked well as a beginner-friendly escape room because a lot of the puzzles could be solved through careful observation, but there were also some frightening sections, so it is worth keeping your tolerance for horror-style scenes in mind.

Mu Lung Dojo leaned more heavily into puzzle-solving. In particular, the additional puzzle section was considered difficult, and with so much to do, reviewers recommended taking it on with four or more players.

The venue is located at 90 Wausan-ro, Mapo-gu, Seoul. Groups of 2 to 6 can participate, and the standard 2-person ticket is priced at 58,000 won.

For additional participants, 29,000 won per person is paid on-site. The full experience lasts 70 minutes in total, including 10 minutes of pre-content and 60 minutes in the escape room, and everyone in the group must arrive at least 10 minutes before the reserved time.

Reservations are available through YES24. Every Monday at 10 a.m., bookings open for the next seven days, and any remaining slots can be reserved at any time. If you already have a specific theme in mind, you can check the available dates and times through the reservation link on the official website.

A wide range of goods is also available for purchase. This time, the lineup feels especially fresh thanks to its detective-themed Maple characters. Dozens of items are available, including plush pouch keyrings and acrylic dioramas featuring characters such as Pink Bean and Orange Mushroom. The goods can also be purchased on-site even without an escape room reservation.

If you are a fan who loves MapleStory’s regions and worldbuilding, or you want to make new offline memories with friends you play with, this is well worth a visit. It has been praised for delivering a level of quality beyond expectations, which also makes it a strong recommendation for anyone looking for their next escape room experience.
