Nexon has recently been putting a strong focus on Maple offline events, from Pink Bean’s Canvas Life Tour to Lotte World Maple Island, and this time that momentum continues with Maple Escape. As someone who has taken part in both Maple online and offline events, I think each offers its own kind of appeal. Online events are fun in their own way, and offline events deliver a very different experience. After looking through reviews of Maple Escape and seeing so many positive reactions, it seemed like exactly the sort of offline event Maple players would enjoy, which is why I wanted to put together this post.

◆ What Is Maple Escape?

In Maple, there is a place called the Dimensional Library, where books preserve a record of everything that has happened across the worlds of Maple. There, five books with empty endings are discovered. These books contain stories of twisted worlds written by someone, and because their endings are blank, each story begins to slowly go off track. If left alone, the situation could escalate into a worst-case scenario that puts the entire Dimensional Library in danger. To prevent that, Maple Heroes enter the five books, recover the Fragments of Dimension that caused the distortions within each story world, and complete the stories. In other words, it is a Maple escape room game.

Kerning City, The Missing People

Genre: Thriller Time: 60 minutes Difficulty: 2 Fear Level: 2

Challenge! Mu Lung Dojo!

Genre: Arcade Time: 60 minutes Difficulty: 4 Fear Level: 0

You’re Invited to the Haunted Mansion

Genre: Mystery Time: 60 minutes Difficulty: 2 Fear Level: 2

Edelstein: The Beginning

Genre: Stealth Time: 60 minutes Difficulty: 3 Fear Level: 0

Mixed-Up Ludibrium

Genre: Co-op Time: 60 minutes Difficulty: 3 Fear Level: 0

There are five escape room themes in total. In order of difficulty, they rank as Challenge! Mu Lung Dojo! > Mixed-Up Ludibrium, Edelstein: The Beginning > Kerning City, The Missing People, You’re Invited to the Haunted Mansion, while in terms of fear level, it is Kerning City, The Missing People, You’re Invited to the Haunted Mansion > the rest. Since all five themes vary by genre, difficulty, and fear level, you can simply choose the one that fits your preference.

◆ Maple Escape Location, Event Period, Reservation Method, and Price

Location : MapleStory Escape, 90 Wausan-ro, Mapo-gu, Seoul

Date : September 28, 2026 ~ September 20, 2028

Operating Hours : 10:40 AM ~ 10:30 PM (60-minute intervals)

Reservation Method : YES24 website

Price : KRW 58,000 (for 2 people) + KRW 29,000 per additional person, paid on-site

Number of Participants : 2 ~ 6 people

Age Requirement : Ages 7 and up (children ages 7–12 must enter with an adult guardian)

◆ Maple Escape Events

When you play a Maple Escape room theme, you will receive 1 of 5 theme poster postcards.

If you complete all Maple Escape room themes, a film keyring will be given to every participant.

If you take part in the Maple Escape Instagram event, you will receive a removable sticker and 1 main poster postcard.

It may end early once supplies run out, so joining sooner rather than later would probably be the better choice.

If you spend over KRW 30,000 on Maple Escape goods, you will receive 1 random character acrylic clip out of 5 types. Like the earlier event rewards, this is also limited to 3,000 total items, so if you want one, it would be best to visit early. Goods are sold on-site only, but you can check what is available on the Maple Escape website.

◆ Fun Features

On the Maple Escape website, you can check the records of Maple Heroes who successfully cleared each Maple theme.

The faster you escape, the higher your character can be permanently displayed in the rankings, which makes it a pretty strong source of motivation.

◆ Other Important Notes

• Ticket reservations open every Monday at 10:00 AM, and bookings can be made through the YES24 website.

• Each escape room theme includes 10 minutes of pre-entry content and 60 minutes of escape room content, for a total of 70 minutes, so for smooth operation, you should arrive on-site 10 minutes before your reservation time.

• For participant safety, entry to the escape room themes is restricted for pregnant women, the elderly, those who are easily frightened, and those entering after drinking.

• For the escape room themes, late arrivals cannot participate. If your party has 2 people and even 1 person is late, neither person will be able to join, so please keep that in mind.

• Any unauthorized photo or video shooting, audio recording, transcription, or live streaming related to the escape room themes is prohibited, and if discovered, you may be asked to delete the data and leave the venue.

• Any spoilers related to the escape room themes must not be disclosed or leaked to third parties through the internet, YouTube, or any other channel.
