We have already reached late September 2026, and the Chuseok holiday period has begun.

For MapleStory, the regular September update went live last week on Thursday, September 16. Since it arrived right after the end of the summer season, this is not necessarily the best timing for a major wave of returning players, but the events themselves offer enough value that they are well worth keeping up with on a steady basis.

I will go over the rewards and the participation requirements below, but in simple terms, these are events where longer and more consistent participation does lead to better rewards, while even minimal participation still gives you rewards that are meaningfully worthwhile. That makes them easy to fit in even when you are busy and only have a little time available.

There is no Chuseok-themed event this time, but I have arranged things so you can quickly check what events are running during the holiday period and what each one offers.

[Hyper Burning Booster] Claim Event

This event lets you claim one Hyper Burning Booster per Maple ID. The duration is fairly generous as well, running until December 16.

The Hyper Burning Booster provides the effect shown above.

The level achievement rewards are shown above as well. The main point to note is that you can only claim rewards for levels after the level you selected.

[Momentum Pass PLUS]

This follows the same format as before.

• You can designate one character per account name to participate in the event

• You can complete missions and raise your pass level through your usual Maple routine

• Rewards are unlocked according to pass level, with both basic rewards and additional rewards available through Nexon Cash purchase

• Premium Momentum Reward can be purchased for 29,700 Cash, and Prime Momentum Reward for 39,700 Cash. Prime Momentum Reward can only be purchased after buying Premium Momentum Reward

[Protect Argo] : Main Attendance Event

This is the long-running main attendance event. The basic structure is the same as before, but starting with this event, not only the attendance rewards but also event coins can now only be claimed on one Maple ID within the account name.

• Attendance is completed automatically upon logging in

• Daily attendance / up to 5 times per week

• Each attendance grants 3 EXP 3x Coupons and 1,000 Argo Coins

• Rewards can be obtained based on your total number of attendance days

• The Day 1 reward is a 30-day Spirit Pendant Exchange Coupon

• The potion in Week 4 is the ~269 potion, and the potion in Week 8 is the ~279 potion

• The cosmetic items given as the third reward each week are shown below

• The character selection screen theme has not been revealed yet, but judging from the design of the event-map ship, it seems likely to look quite good

[Argo Coin Shop and Meso Shop] : Main Attendance Event

This coin shop event also follows the usual format. Through the login attendance mentioned above, you can obtain 5,000 per week, and up to 40,000 in total with full attendance for the entire event period.

The coin shop lineup is also quite good. Even though this is the fall season, it has been set up with the same overall composition as the summer season.

As for the Meso Shop, during this event season, VIP Buffs can only be purchased here. The Special tab also sells new emotes along with Chuseok- and Halloween-themed cosmetic items.

[Argo's Blessing] : Tonic Event

This is the only tonic-style event in this update, and it is largely the same as usual.

• Each week, you can defeat 10,000 level range monsters and earn 25 SP

• The point requirements have been adjusted slightly

• The tonic effects remain for one additional week after the event ends

[Ascendant Link] : New Event Ring Event

This is a new event ring distribution event, something that has not appeared in a while.

• You can claim one Ascendant Pulse Ring per Maple ID

• Unlike previous event rings, this one can be enhanced up to 20 stars. On Maple Now, it was mentioned that at full enhancement it would end up slightly better than an 18-star Meister Ring

• As with the usual system, Star Force enhancement and potential resetting are possible, but during the event period these can also be done using exclusive currency obtained from hunting level range monsters and completing daily and weekly missions

• This exclusive currency, Pulse Enhancer, is not affected by Special Sunday Maple effects, but it performs the same as a Black Cube

• You can obtain roughly 25 to 30 Pulse Enhancers per 1 material unit (30 minutes) from level range monsters, and 1,590 per week through missions

• Since the Event Ring Legendary Potential Scroll from the Argo Coin Shop can also be used here, it is better to use that scroll first before spending the exclusive currency

• If the ring is destroyed, a recovery ring can be purchased from the Meso Shop for 300 million mesos each

• You can still complete missions and obtain drops from level range monsters without claiming the ring first, so you can decide later which character to give it to

[Personal Burning] : A new burning event that is demanding if you want to go all the way, but still worthwhile even if you only take the basic rewards

This is a newly introduced event that partially borrows from the previous Change Burning. Reaching every reward is fairly demanding, but even without going that far, it is still a very worthwhile event.

• You can designate one character per Nexon ID to participate in Personal Burning

• Once designated, a total of 30 target stages is set, and these vary depending on the character's level and EXP at the time of participation. Each stage is completed and its reward is given when you reach the EXP assigned to that stage

• The image above shows the final result when set at around level 288 with 5.8% EXP. To obtain all rewards, you would need to reach level 290 and 34.956% over 9 weeks, so it is not easy. Unless you are purchasing the Momentum Pass, a substantial amount of grinding is unavoidable even if you do all of your usual Maple routine

• However, the key point is that every stage gives the same reward: a fixed amount of EXP and 1,000 Personal Coins. Since the rewards are not weighted toward the later stages, it is still very worthwhile to participate within your own available time and capacity

• Personal Coins can be used in this coin shop, and all characters within the Maple ID can use it

• As you can see, this is not a Conqueror's Cube but a regular Karma Black Cube, so the value is quite high

• Karma Black Cubes cost 8500 for the full purchase amount / Karma White Additional Cubes cost 13000 / Sol Erda Fragments cost 4500

• For the character designated for Personal Burning, beginning at 9/24(Thu) 0:00, defeating weekly bosses grants a certain amount of EXP

• The higher the boss difficulty you clear, the more EXP you receive. That said, while this does help, it is generally not a very large amount

• If you enter as a party, the so-called traffic light system is applied

• Finally, Personal Flame is a benefit that allows the designated character to defeat 24,000 special booster monsters each week

• These booster monsters grant 72 times the EXP of the map's regular monsters and fly toward your character, making them very convenient to clear. The fact that they are unaffected by other EXP effects is also an advantage

• It takes a little under 2 hours to defeat all 24,000

• There are rewards aside from EXP as well, and you can assign Custom Points to obtain the rewards you want

• If you focus all points in one area, you can obtain 2280 Sol Erda per week, or 48 Sol Erda Fragments, or 720 EXP Exchange Coupons

• In the case of fragments, which are generally regarded as having the highest value, participating for the remaining 8 weeks would give you 48 per week, for a total of 384, with an investment of under 2 hours each week
