For me, the appeal of crafting, collecting, and life activities in mobile RPGs lies in the satisfaction of making something yourself—and knowing that the finished item can earn you a profit.

In Mabinogi Mobile, you can buy materials with 데카 at the marketplace, but doing everything yourself, from gathering to crafting, lets you enjoy discovering just how much you can do. Today, I'll explain how to level up your life skills and share what I've found rewarding along the way.

1. How to Level Up Life Skills

You earn experience in the most basic life skills—woodcutting, mining, herb gathering, sheep shearing, harvesting, hoeing, insect collecting, and fishing—simply by repeating each activity.

Check the life skills screen to see what you can currently gather, then choose the highest-level option. As you level up, move on to higher-tier materials to earn more experience.

A recent change increased the default target for “Find Nearby Location” from 10 to 100 repetitions, making repeated gathering much more convenient.

Some life skills require gathering tools. At lower levels, inexpensive tools from the tool shop will do. You can then level up the multipurpose workbench and start crafting your own blue-grade tools. For now, though, buying finished tools at the marketplace offers better value for money.

If you're lucky enough to find a golden item along the way, select it and press “How to Obtain” to gather almost indefinitely. Just bear in mind that you'll need plenty of tools and will have to keep an eye on your inventory weight.

2. Make the Most of Mission Board Scrolls

If repetitive tasks aren't for you, make use of mission boards. Every town has one.

Each week, you can buy scrolls from mission boards that offer extra life skill experience. Complete the gathering or crafting mission listed on a scroll to earn experience for the corresponding life skill. It's worth picking these up as part of your usual life skill routine.

You can save up scrolls and buy additional ones on alternate characters. They offer far more experience than regular gathering, making them a very time-efficient option.

If you've raised your life skill levels enough this season, you can save your weekly scroll purchases for the start of the next one. That's another enjoyable part of life activities: a little preparation each week can give you a head start next season.

I especially recommend using scrolls for crafting life skills such as Blacksmithing, Carpentry, and Magic Craft.

Crafting skills tend to be harder to level up than gathering skills. To make items suited to your level, you'll need materials. Gathering them all yourself takes time, while buying them at the marketplace can put a strain on your 데카 reserves.

3. What Makes Life Activities Rewarding for Me?

As your life skill levels rise, you can produce higher-tier materials, craft a wider variety of items, and earn 데카 by selling surplus materials.

For me, though, the most rewarding part of Mabinogi Mobile's life activities is simply making the things I need and putting them to use.

I still fondly remember sharing food I'd made myself with my guildmates aboard the raid ship. If you enjoy the satisfaction of steady progress outside of combat, I recommend exploring life skills one at a time.
