If you're looking for something to play over the holiday, MapleStory, Mabinogi Mobile, and FC Online are all worth checking out.

They cover a wide range of tastes, from character progression to seasonal activities and football, and each one has growth support or limited-time events currently underway. Here, I’ve rounded up recent updates and events from each game that make them good picks for the Chuseok holiday.

MapleStory

MapleStory kicked off a new Hyper Burning Booster event on September 17. It offers a 1+4 benefit, granting 4 extra levels each time you level up, up to level 260. The booster distribution event runs until December 16, and it can be used on level 10 to 258 characters that are not existing Hyper Burning characters.

If you’ve already reached level 260, Personal Burning is the one to look at next. It is available for characters from level 260 to under level 300 that have completed the “Another Power, Authentic Force” quest. Until November 18, you can earn EXP and rewards through tailored growth missions and related tasks. Only one character can be designated per account, and that choice cannot be changed.

I used the previous Hyper Burning event to raise Lete to level 260, and this time I’m building Ren as a sub-character. Lete felt comfortable to grind with thanks to strong wide-range clearing, while Ren stood out for the satisfying sword impact and the style of drawing and sheathing the blade. If you have some time over the holiday, trying out a new class is a solid option.

“Protect Argo,” which runs until November 18, is also worth keeping on your list. Once you register for the event and log in, reconnaissance is completed and rewards such as EXP coupons and Argo Coins begin to build up. Reconnaissance can be done up to 5 times per week, so it works well as an event you can actively play on free days and still collect login rewards from on busier ones.

Mabinogi Mobile

Mabinogi Mobile has plenty to offer if you want to lean into the Chuseok atmosphere.

First, “Let’s Spin Tops Together!” is available from the Side Game menu. Playing once rewards 50,000 gold, while the second and third plays each give 5 dyes. The reward event runs until 5:59 AM on October 1.

In Dunbarton Square, Yut sticks and a Yut board have also been set up. Until 5:59 AM on October 15, you can interact directly with the Yut sticks and Yut pieces using your character and play Yutnori. If you want a break from combat and feel like trying a traditional holiday game with other players, this is an easy one to recommend.

For players who like collecting, there’s also the Hangawi Hanbok Set. By clearing hunting grounds and dungeon missions, you can earn up to 10 “Unexpected Bond Songpyeon Sets” per server each day. The songpyeon from those sets can then be gathered and exchanged in the shop for the hanbok set, the “Soft and Chewy” title, growth materials, and more.

The one thing to keep in mind is that the contents of each songpyeon set are random, so you’ll need to collect the right types and quantities. Both the songpyeon collection event and the exchange shop remain available until 5:59 AM on October 15.

If you’re returning after a break, it’s also worth checking the returning player support. “Busy Busy, Jumping Up!” is aimed at players who have not logged in for at least 30 days on an account basis, and completing the “A Certain Favor” quest rewards a level 55 skip ticket and 10 pet tickets. That said, you should not assume some skipped quests will be available to replay later. If you want to experience the story directly, it’s best to check before using the ticket.

FC Online

FC Online is running the “Hangawi Songpyeon Basket” event until 11:59 PM on October 1. The structure is simple: collect songpyeon boxes through matches, the battle pass, and various missions, then combine the songpyeon from those boxes in the Agent to exchange them for rewards.

Songpyeon boxes can be collected just by playing as usual. Daily missions give 2 boxes for staying logged in for at least 60 minutes, and weekly missions offer additional boxes based on login days, cumulative login time, and transfer market sale conditions. If you plan to spend part of the holiday in matches, it’s worth checking the Mission Hub alongside them.

“Feed the Horse Through 35 Days of Login,” which runs until October 28, is another event worth picking up. On cumulative login days 7, 14, 21, and 28, you receive 100 FC each, and on day 35 you get a selectable reward plus a 50% total fee discount coupon.

There’s also a limited-time bonus attached to the cumulative day 1, 7, and 14 rewards, with 2 valuable honey songpyeon included each time. That songpyeon bonus can only be claimed until 11:59 PM on September 29.

A special login event is also running in rounds during the same period. Since the rewards are split between free rewards and upgraded rewards that require FC or MC, it makes sense to check the free items first. If you plan to play from a PC café, the Premium PC Café event is also worth a look, as it lets you collect coins based on login time and exchange them for items.

There’s no need to treat a holiday game session as a checklist for collecting every reward. If you want the satisfaction of leveling a character, MapleStory is the best fit; if you’re more interested in the holiday atmosphere, Mabinogi Mobile’s traditional games stand out; and if you’re in the mood for a football match, FC Online’s Quick Squad is an easy pick.
