In Mabinogi Mobile, crafting is something I use pretty often.
I craft gear, stock up on combat consumables,
and even make furniture myself to decorate My Home.

The reason I enjoy crafting so much is that
I can actually use the things I made myself in the game.
In this post, I want to talk about the three kinds of satisfaction I got from crafting.

🎯From gear to battle items

Once the Magi Resistance system was added in Season 2, gear crafting finally had a real goal.

Afterimage equipment gives you 4400 Magi Resistance as a full set,
while Haeyeon equipment takes that up to 7200.
If you want to challenge Runda Abyss Hell difficulty, Haeyeon equipment is basically a must.

For my main character, I crafted a full Haeyeon set to take on Hell 2 difficulty,
while my alts weren’t meant for Hell difficulty runs, so I only geared them up to the Afterimage set.

The most annoying materials in gear crafting are definitely Soulstones and Magic Stones.
You have to hunt down the dungeon that drops the specific Soulstone you need,
and somehow, when you only need 1 or 2 more, it starts to feel like they just won’t drop.
In the end, I often wind up buying the last few from the market.

Even so, being able to hit the Magi Resistance you need with gear you crafted yourself
and then move on to a new difficulty is still a really strong motivator.

I also craft my own combat consumables.
Things like Flame Grenades, Advanced Acid Grenades, and Critical Elixirs
are a huge help in actual Abyss runs.

Advanced Acid Grenades are especially useful because they apply a debuff that increases damage taken by 15%,
so using one during a break timing helps raise the whole party’s DPS.

As you prepare your gear and consumables one by one,
one of the fun parts of crafting is that before you know it, your character is already getting ready for the next dungeon.

🪑I make and decorate my own house

Crafting is something you really can’t leave out of My Home either.

I made most of the furniture I use in My Home myself.
More than focusing on each individual piece, I pay attention to how the wallpaper, windows, and doors work together,
so I used the same doors from the hallway through the entrance area
to give the whole house a more unified feel.

One interesting thing about My Home furniture is just how specific the crafting materials can be.

For example, to make a bathtub, you have to collect water from a well,
and to make a dish cabinet with plates inside, you need to hoe for clay.

Furniture made by gathering the materials yourself like this
becomes an actual 3D object placed inside your My Home.

One thing that really stuck with me recently was the Excellent 3-Tier Dessert Tray.
I saw in the update notes that interactive furniture was being added, so I decided to craft it myself,
and when I sat down on the sofa, I got to see my character eating a macaron.

It was surprisingly fun seeing the moment when an item that had only been an icon in my bag
became a piece of furniture my character could actually use.

🍳 If you made it, you’ve gotta eat together

Mabinogi Mobile also has a feature called Camp Sharing.

If you sit around a campfire and eat food,
you can share that food with the other players sitting at the same campfire.
It’s one of those features I naturally end up using whenever I run Abyss with friends.

The foods I usually prepare are
Tomato Cream Fish Cunnel and Rich Steak.
Both are useful in combat, so for me,
as someone who values efficiency, they fit my playstyle really well.

One time, I heard that someone who had helped us cut down our Hell 2 clear time
was trying to set a new record with another party,
so I shared some of the steak I had with them at the campfire.

And among crafted foods, there are also dishes that come with special scenes, like a grand feast.
Gathering the ingredients, finishing the dish, sharing it with friends,
and then watching a cute cutscene is one of those small joys crafting gives you.

🎁 The fun of making, using, and sharing

When you craft items in Mabinogi Mobile,
there are things you gain through those items.

Crafting can become
the process of preparing for the next battle,
a space I want to create for myself,
or even an experience shared with other players.

Sometimes gathering and processing materials feels a bit tedious,
but when I think about the moment the things I made actually get used in gameplay,
it makes me want to start preparing the next craft.

So to me, crafting is a system where you make items,
but it’s also a system where I get to shape what I want to do in the game for myself.
