[Elsword] Spec-Up Guide|Building a Strong Foundation Through Title Farming and Collection

[This post was created as part of NEXON PEAK activities.]

Hello! I’m 온야.

I’m a returning Elsword player steadily working on spec-up.

In my previous post, I explained how to use the summer events to make quick progress with equipment, El Resonance, and even the Abyss weapon.

If the events have helped you get your basic equipment in place, it is now time to strengthen your account’s foundations.

Once my equipment was reasonably well established, I started turning my attention to the things I had been putting off.

Namely, titles and the El Search Party Collection.

In this post, I’ll share how I’m building those foundations in Elsword, focusing on my own progress with titles and the collection.

1. Titles for Spec-Up

Elsword has a variety of titles that you can earn by meeting specific conditions.

Each title provides different effects, making them more than just collectibles. They are an important part of progression that strengthens your character.

Titles serve a range of purposes, from boosting damage to supporting your party or helping with item farming.

When I first returned, I was using a temporary title from an event, so I kept putting off title farming.

I could not rely on temporary items forever, though, so I eventually started earning the titles I needed one by one.

My first priorities were “Black and White” and “강철 기계의 습격”.

I have now earned both titles!

2. Earning 강철 기계의 습격 First

The first title I worked toward was 강철 기계의 습격. It is an essential title for healers.

To earn it, you need to run Steel Wall 150 times.

Rather than doing all the runs at once, I chose to do 5 runs every day.

Sticking to a small, fixed number of runs each day made earning it less demanding than I had expected.

Title farming often involves repeating the same dungeon many times. Rather than trying to finish everything at once, I recommend breaking the runs up into a daily routine.

3. Earning “Black and White” for Damage Dealers

My next goal was Black and White.
When I took the screenshot above, I had only just unlocked the title’s requirements, so it still felt like a long way off.

I kept working on it steadily, and I have now earned Black and White as well!

When I first returned, I kept putting off title farming because I had temporary titles from events. Replacing them with permanent titles one by one made my spec-up progress feel much more tangible.

In Elsword, you need titles like these alongside your equipment, so it is worth checking the requirements for the titles you need ahead of time and working on them little by little.

4. Collecting Titles Beyond the Essentials

Beyond the titles essential for spec-up, I’m also collecting other titles one by one whenever I can.

One of these is “거울 속 가능성,” a title available from the 미러 델 dungeon.

Progress toward this title is counted weekly, so I have been completing one cycle each week.

Alongside 거울 속 가능성, it is worth keeping up with weekly runs for other titles whose progress is counted this way (such as 일심정념).

Prioritize the titles you need for immediate spec-up, but start making progress on longer-term titles as well. Doing a little in advance can leave you with less work later.

Consistency really does seem to be key to building your account’s foundations in Elsword.

Title farming often means repeating the same content, so I personally found it much easier to make a little progress each day or week rather than trying to finish everything at once.

5. Collection: Raising Alts Makes Your Main Stronger Too

Alongside titles, I’m also working steadily on another part of account progression: the El Search Party Collection.

This system lets you level and register different characters and classes to gain their corresponding effects.

Put simply,

raising more characters helps your entire account grow.

You might expect to spend all your time on your main, but this is one reason spec-up eventually leads you to raise several alts.

I’m working on getting the collection effects I need one at a time, too.

6. Adding the Effects You Need One by One

Collection effects vary by character and class.

Rather than starting to raise every character without a plan, I recommend checking which effects your current character needs and setting priorities. (Physical/Magical Attack, Skill Damage, Boss Damage, etc.)

I’m following that approach myself, working through them one at a time.

First, I registered Twilight in the collection through her third job advancement.

I have not reached Master Class yet, but I’m progressing gradually through each stage, starting with the characters I need.

Leveling characters I do not normally play for the collection has offered a different kind of enjoyment from playing only my main.

Of course, characters can differ quite a bit in how difficult they are to level and how they feel to play...

“Why is this character so difficult?”

I do find myself wondering that at times.

The next character I raised was Herrscher.

Herrscher’s collection effect provides increased damage dealt to bosses, making it useful for spec-up.

Once you start tackling boss-focused content such as raids, collection effects like these become more noticeable.

I’m learning firsthand that long-term spec-up is not just about changing equipment. It also means building up lasting progression benefits across your account, one by one.

7. Another Reward of Working on the Collection

This time, I also worked on the collection for Noah’s first path.

Noah, Laby, and Lithia level through their own dedicated dungeons. This made progression feel a little different from raising the earlier characters.

Personally, I found the sections that required several runs of the same dungeon a little difficult.

Still, raising characters I do not normally play for the collection naturally gives me a chance to experience their skills and stories.

Since I usually focus on my main, I had not known much about these characters’ backgrounds or relationships with other characters. Learning about them was another small pleasure of working on the collection.

8. Where Should You Start Building Your Foundations?

After working on both titles and the collection, I found it much easier to break my goals into smaller parts rather than trying to finish everything at once.

Here is how I’m currently building up my account’s foundations.

① Check which titles your current character needs
→ I start with titles that suit my goals, whether that means damage, party support, or farming.

② Decide which titles to work on each day
→ For titles that require many runs, I do a fixed number each day.

③ Start early on weekly content
→ I make steady progress on content with weekly run counts, making sure not to miss a week.

④ Check which collection effects you need
→ I focus on the effects I currently need rather than raising every character without a plan.

⑤ Raise alts one at a time
→ I’m working toward third job advancement and Master Class in stages.

Breaking things up this way can make repeated runs a little less demanding.

In this post, I shared my spec-up progress with titles and the collection as I build my account’s foundations since returning.

In Elsword, summer and winter break events can help you improve your equipment and Combat Power quickly. After that, progression systems that steadily strengthen your account, such as titles, the collection, and El Resonance, become important too.

At first, there seemed to be so much to do. But as I prioritized what I needed and worked through it one step at a time, I began to enjoy seeing those foundations take shape.

I still have plenty to work on, including the Black and White title, and my collection has a long way to go as well.

Rather than rushing to finish everything, though, I plan to keep playing and completing each part in turn.

Use events for quick equipment growth, and build your foundations steadily!

If you are new to Elsword or returning after a long break like me, use the events to get your basic equipment in place, then start working on your titles and collection one at a time as well.
