Today, I’ll be covering the TOP5 MapleStory Class Rankings. The long-awaited balance patch has now been unveiled on the test server.

Some former top-ranking classes are moving down slightly, while previously neglected classes have received substantial buffs. With the Hyper Burning event approaching, I’ve put together a brief overview of the key changes. I hope you find it useful as you consider your options. Let’s get started.

01. Dual Blade

The balance patch has significantly reshaped the MapleStory class rankings, and Dual Blade takes the first spot. Its damage output has increased across the board, resulting in a substantial improvement in its DPM figures.

After trying it myself on the test server, I came away feeling that bossing would be more enjoyable and less demanding. Tornado Spin’s activation delay has also been reduced, making it smoother to deal damage. Overall, I’m pleased with the changes.

02. Shadower

Second is Shadower. It finally has a standalone invincibility skill. Trickblade, its burst skill that previously required stacks to activate, now lets you choose between mobbing and bossing versions.

These changes make boss fights easier and eliminate the frustrating situations that could arise from mistiming the Assassinate–Meso Explosion–Assassinate combo. Other damage sources received slight nerfs, but I think the class is now a solid choice even as a main.

03. Night Lord

Third in the MapleStory class rankings is Night Lord. Its damage mechanics have been improved, addressing the need to attack at point-blank range. Buffs to its previously awkward mobility skills have also helped it climb sharply into the upper-middle ranks.

After the balance patch was revealed, 파사부 prices rose considerably, suggesting that Night Lord is set to become more popular. With Shadower and Dual Blade receiving buffs alongside Night Lord, the Explorer Thieves seem to have regained some of their standing.

04. Hoyoung

Fourth is Hoyoung. Its mechanics have been substantially improved, and removing the tedious energy management has made it easier to play.

Dealing damage is now easier, with estimates putting its final damage increase at around 5%. It was disappointing to see this class neglected for so long, but I now think it’s a worthwhile choice for a Burning character. If you’re just starting MapleStory, consider giving Hoyoung a try.

05. Kaiser

Fifth is Kaiser. The developers have implemented all the changes that Kaiser players have been requesting for so long.

Its main skills have been buffed across the board, while its somewhat awkward mobility skills and controls have all been improved. Many now consider it a top-tier Warrior class. I’ll have to weigh up Hoyoung and Kaiser before choosing which one to level with Hyper Burning this time.

That wraps up the TOP5 MapleStory Class Rankings. Quite a few other classes received buffs as well, but these 5 stand out the most to me.
