Hello—this one brought back some old memories for me. Here’s a quick guide to the MapleLand MapleLand Edelstein Strange Signpost quest.

Hello, this is Game Sky.
Today, I’m jumping back into MapleLand for the first time in a while, and this time I’ve brought an Edelstein quest with me. Visiting Edelstein again after so long really brings back memories, but at the same time it also feels a little fresh. Back in this period, though, Edelstein was basically just a machine-filled town suffering under Black Wings’ oppression. That made me curious about what kinds of quests were around then. So, for this post, we’ll be taking a look at Officer Belle’s Edelstein quest in MapleLand, “Strange Signpost”.
So, let’s get started.

Officer Belle |

Officer Belle welcomes the player to Edelstein. She says she can help with anything except catching bugs. Of course, she immediately adds that she’s actually the one who needs help. In other words, she’s asking for your assistance.

Belle explains that Black Wings’ surveillance has been a little lax lately, so more outsiders have been entering Edelstein. The problem is that the signposts are broken, which has been confusing visitors, so she asks you to defeat 50 Strange Signposts.

She says the Strange Signposts can be found on Edelstein’s Walking Path 2. Since they’re old, worn-out signposts, they shouldn’t be difficult to spot. Let’s head over there right away.

Strange Signpost Hunting Ground |

The Strange Signpost is a level 16 monster. For someone at my level, it’s basically just a weak mob, but for players starting out with a Resistance class, it’s still a perfectly manageable hunting target. Once you’ve defeated all 50, just head straight back to Belle.

When you return to Belle, she asks whether you took care of all the Strange Signposts. She’s impressed, says you’ve been a big help to Edelstein, and adds that while she may not be its representative, she still wants to thank you as a police officer. That line about speaking on behalf of Edelstein feels a bit like a hint about Belle’s identity. As for the reward, you receive 390 EXP.

She goes on to say that there used to be many reliable senior police officers in town, but after Black Wings occupied Edelstein, they either disappeared while fighting or left in order to fight. That means she’s the only one left. With an apology asking you to understand the mood in Edelstein, Officer Belle’s Strange Signpost quest comes to an end here. That line about disappearing while fighting, or disappearing in order to fight, feels like an early hint to the player about the crisis facing the Resistance.

Today, we looked at Officer Belle’s Strange Signpost quest in Edelstein in MapleLand. For higher-level players, this is naturally more of a minor quest, but if you mainly play Resistance classes, it works well as a quest to clear while hunting Strange Signposts anyway.
This has been Game Sky. Thank you!
