[This post was created as part of Nexon PEAK activities.]
Hello! I’m Onya.
Every year during the summer and winter break seasons, Elsword holds large-scale events to help new and returning users settle in quickly.
As someone who returned last winter myself, I tried this summer boosting event firsthand to raise an alt character.
This event combines Quick Start, Combat Power Boosting, and an Abyss weapon reward, making it a great chance for players who are returning after a long break or starting for the first time to level up a character quickly.
In this post, I’ll introduce the main growth support events and rewards I confirmed while playing through the event myself, along with how far I was actually able to grow a character.
1. Reach Master Class in just 5 runs! Quick Start
The Quick Start event is a fast-track growth support event for new users.

Compared to established accounts, new accounts can be lacking in account-wide progression systems such as collections.
If you follow the event missions in order, you can receive a wide range of support items needed for character growth, and quickly raise your character all the way to Master Class.
Even as a returning player, I felt that the overall growth process had been streamlined quite a bit.
It’s also a great chance for existing players to fill out their collections.
2. Elrios Summer Event Thank-You Coupon

To celebrate the summer season, there’s also an event coupon that gives out various items. (Available on the official website)
The coupon includes several growth support items.
One of the standout rewards is the Spirit Challenger Cube.

Spirit Challenger is one of Elsword’s Force skills, and it helps increase the damage you deal to bosses.
In particular, it’s the higher-tier Force version of the commonly used Yukchamgoldan, so it’s a useful item for new and returning players to pick up while progressing.

Unique Force skills have different effects depending on the type, and some cannot be used together, so when using the Force selection item from the event, I recommend checking first whether it overlaps with the Force you already have.
I made that mistake at first by choosing without checking properly… (For Unique Force, take Encroaching Energy)
I recommend looking over the effects once before claiming your event items!

3. Combat Power Boosting Event
The Combat Power Boosting Event is really the centerpiece of this summer event.
It provides a range of growth support so that new and returning users can quickly access the game’s core content.

As you work through the event missions in order, you can increase your character’s combat power and receive the gear and items needed for progression.
In particular, it provides the key gear needed for early growth all at once, including near-endgame armor, various accessories, and avatars, so new players can reach a fairly solid level just by following the event.

As you clear dungeons one by one and continue the missions, you can also earn additional rewards such as Change Skill Manuals and Atma accessories, along with support for ERP growth.
To me, the biggest advantage is that it greatly reduces the need to worry about what gear you should aim for from the start.
Artifact Growth

It supports not only gear progression, but also artifact growth.
As you play through the event, you can also receive the items needed for artifact leveling, so new players can build up this progression element much faster than usual.
Since the event rewards cover so many different categories, they can feel a little complicated at first.
ERP Growth
If you keep following the Combat Power Boosting Event, you can also progress your ERP growth at the same time.
ERP is an important system in Elsword that lets you keep strengthening your character even after reaching max level.
This event also supports ERP progression, which significantly lowers the burden new players often feel when starting the game.
While going through the event, I was able to raise my ERP up to 350 fairly quickly.
When I returned previously, I had to repeatedly farm dungeons myself to raise ERP, but with the event’s support, the difference in growth speed was very noticeable.
4. Key Reward! Abyss Weapon Distribution

One of the most important rewards in this event is the Abyss weapon.
To help new and returning users move into full-scale content, the event gives out a +11 Abyss weapon.
It starts out as a time-limited weapon, but by progressing through the event quests and meeting certain conditions, you can convert it into a permanent weapon.

So if you want to make the most of this event, it’s important not only to complete the Combat Power Boosting Event, but also to go through the process of converting the Abyss weapon into a permanent one.
How do you convert the Abyss weapon into a permanent one?
To convert the Abyss weapon into a permanent one, you need to earn the 500 points required by the event.
You can earn points by playing the various types of content introduced through the event.
In my case, on my main character where I already had some titles and content prepared, I was able to fill the points relatively quickly.

That said, even if you’re a brand-new player just starting out, there’s no need to worry too much.
If you steadily complete the content introduced by the event, such as weekly raids, you can gradually build up the points.
In other words, if you play consistently during the event period, it’s absolutely possible to make the +11 Abyss weapon permanent.
How far can you grow once you get the Abyss weapon?
After actually progressing through the event from the beginning, I found that even on a new account, it was possible to grow quickly to a fairly high level.
If you make full use of all the growth support and the Abyss weapon provided by the event,
character growth → combat power boosting → ERP growth → obtaining the Abyss weapon can all be done in one flow.

In particular, new accounts can also receive additional Nexon Cash rewards for completing event missions, so if you’re a new player, I recommend checking the event conditions carefully.
Just by following the event properly, you can build a large part of the foundation needed to grow your character.
5. I also tried raising several characters myself
While using this event, I personally raised not only my main character but several other characters as well.
I raised an Oz Sorcerer.
Normally, raising a new character from scratch takes quite a bit of time, but with the event’s growth support, I was able to level several characters relatively quickly and even clear Serpentium Raid Single Mode!

Since each character has a different playstyle, I think the event period is also a great chance to try out characters you’ve been interested in.
It’s useful for new players who are still deciding on a main, and it’s also great for existing players who want to raise alts.
Personally, playing several characters also helped me learn each one’s skills and damage cycle.
The biggest strength I felt while playing this summer event was that the growth process is tightly streamlined so new and returning users can quickly enter Elsword’s current content.
In particular, Quick Start + Combat Power Boosting Event + Abyss weapon distribution
are all running together, so if you follow the event from start to finish, it provides a lot of help with building your gear and combat power.
If you’re returning to Elsword after a long break, it can be hard to know where to start.
During this event period, I’d recommend prioritizing the following:
① Progress the Combat Power Boosting Event
② Secure ERP and growth rewards
③ Obtain the Abyss weapon
④ Convert the Abyss weapon to permanent
I recommend going through it in that order.
I’m also using this summer event as a chance to raise several characters and once again focus on improving my Elsword specs.
From the perspective of a returning player, there’s still a lot of content for me to learn, but thanks to the event, I was able to adapt to Elsword’s current content much faster than before.
Next time, after growing a character through the event, I’ll share my hands-on experience with the collection and alt-raising systems that help improve your main character’s specs.
I hope this post was helpful for those of you who are new to Elsword or returning through the summer event~!
