Every summer and winter break, Elsword runs major events to help new and returning players settle into the game quickly.

As a player who returned last winter, I tried this summer’s boosting event firsthand to build up my alt characters.

The event combines Quick Start + Combat Power Boosting with an Abyss weapon giveaway, offering players who are returning after a long break or starting for the first time a good opportunity to progress quickly.

In this article, I will cover the main progression support events and rewards I tried firsthand and show how far I was able to progress with my characters.

1. Reach Master Class in Just 5 Runs! Quick Start

The Quick Start event offers new players a faster path through character progression.

New accounts may lack the underlying bonuses that established accounts have built up through features such as the Collection.

Following the event missions in order gives you access to a range of character progression support, helping you reach Master Class quickly.

Even as a player returning after a long break, I found the progression process considerably more streamlined.

It is also a good opportunity for existing players to fill out their Collection.

2. Elrios Summer Event Thank-You Coupon

An event coupon is also available for the summer season, offering a variety of items. (Details are available on the official website.)

The coupon includes several items that support progression.

One reward that stood out was the Spirit Challenger Cube.

Spirit Challenger is one of Elsword’s Force Skills, an item that increases the damage you deal to bosses.

It is also a higher-tier Force Skill than the commonly used Head Hunter, making it a useful addition for new and returning players as they progress.

Unique Force Skills vary in their effects, and some cannot be used together, so before using the event’s Force selection items, I recommend checking the Force Skills you already own for any overlap.

I made a mistake myself by choosing without checking this carefully first… (For the Unique Force Skill, choose Eroding Energy.)

3. Combat Power Boosting Event

The Combat Power Boosting event is arguably the centerpiece of this summer’s events.

It offers a range of progression support to help new and returning players quickly access the game’s main content.

Completing the event missions in order raises your character’s Combat Power and provides the equipment and items you need to progress.

It provides the equipment needed for early progression all at once, including near-best-in-slot armor, various accessories, and costumes, so new players can make substantial progress simply by following the event.

As you clear dungeons and complete missions, you can earn additional rewards, such as Secret Manuals for Change Skills and 아트마 accessories, while also getting support for your El Resonance Level.

For me, the biggest advantage is having less to worry about when deciding which equipment to aim for at the start.

Artifact Progression

The support extends beyond equipment to Artifact progression.

The event also provides items needed to level up your Artifact, helping new players build up this aspect of their characters much faster than usual.

The wide variety of event rewards can feel a little complicated at first.

El Resonance Level Progression

Working through the Combat Power Boosting event also lets you raise your El Resonance Level.

El Resonance is an important system in Elsword that allows you to keep strengthening your character after reaching the level cap.

The event helps you raise your El Resonance Level quickly as well, making progression considerably less demanding for new players starting the game.

Through the event, I was able to raise my El Resonance Level to 350 quickly.

When I returned last time, I had to run dungeons repeatedly to raise my El Resonance Level, so the faster pace with the event’s support was immediately noticeable.

4. A Key Reward! Abyss Weapon Giveaway

One of the most important rewards in this event is the Abyss weapon.

The event provides an Abyss weapon enhanced to +11 to help new and returning players take on the game’s more substantial content.

The weapon is initially time-limited, but you can make it permanent by completing event quests and meeting certain requirements.

To make the most of the event, it is important to go beyond Combat Power Boosting and complete the steps needed to make your Abyss weapon permanent.

How Do You Make the Abyss Weapon Permanent?

To make the Abyss weapon permanent, you need to earn the required 500 points.

You earn points by playing the various types of content listed in the event.

My main character already had some titles and content preparation in place, so I was able to collect the points relatively quickly.

Even if you are a new player just starting out, though, there is no need to worry too much.

Consistently playing the content listed in the event, such as weekly raids, will let you steadily accumulate points.

In other words, making the +11 Abyss weapon permanent is entirely achievable if you play consistently throughout the event period.

How Far Can You Progress Once You Have the Abyss Weapon?

After playing through the event from the beginning, I found that even a new account could make substantial progress in a short time.

Taking full advantage of the event’s progression support and the Abyss weapon lets you follow the full progression path:

character development → Combat Power Boosting → El Resonance Level progression → obtaining an Abyss weapon, all in one continuous process.

New accounts can also earn additional Nexon Cash rewards by completing event missions, so I recommend that new players check the event requirements carefully.

Following the event through can give you much of the foundation you need to keep strengthening your character.

5. My Experience Building Several Characters

I used this event to build up several characters alongside my main.

One of them was an Oz Sorcerer.

Building a new character from scratch normally takes considerable time, but the event’s progression support let me build up several characters relatively quickly and even clear Serpentium Raid in Solo Mode!

Each character plays differently, so the event period is also a good opportunity to try characters you have been interested in.

New players can use this chance to choose a main, while existing players can work on their alts.

Playing several characters also helped me learn their individual skills and damage rotations.

After trying this summer’s events myself, I found that the biggest advantage was how well they streamline progression, helping new and returning players quickly access Elsword’s current content.

In particular, the combination of Quick Start + the Combat Power Boosting event + the Abyss weapon giveaway

means that following these events from start to finish can make a substantial difference to your equipment and Combat Power.

If you are returning to Elsword after a long break, it can be difficult to know where to begin.

During this event period, I suggest prioritizing the following:

① Work through the Combat Power Boosting event
② Collect El Resonance Level and progression rewards
③ Obtain the Abyss weapon
④ Make the Abyss weapon permanent

I recommend completing these steps in the order shown.

This summer’s events have given me the opportunity to build up several characters and get back into improving their stats in Elsword.

As a returning player, I still have plenty of content to learn about, but the events helped me get accustomed to Elsword’s current content much faster than before.
