Helloo~ (˶ˊꇴˋو(و ⁾⁾
This is Nexon Picker Dalnyang.
MapleStory definitely has plenty of moments where you’re raising your character solo, but I also think it’s a really great online RPG for setting goals with friends and growing together.
Even bosses that feel impossible alone become something you can actually try with a friend~ (please help my combat power out a little..)
And once both of you build up your specs and start challenging harder bosses, you can really feel how much stronger you’ve gotten together.
Especially in Maple, the game gives you a lot of nice tools for playing together, from making a party to recruiting for boss parties, so it’s perfect for picking one shared goal with a friend and raising your characters around it.
EX. I’m busy this time so I’m only going to push up to Chaos Vellum and call it there
In this post, I’ll briefly introduce the MapleStory content that I think is especially great for growing together with friends.
| Table of Contents |
① Party hunting with friends
② Boss content that’s great for growing together
③ Let’s make use of Dimensional Battlefield too!
④ Players I recommend party play for
1. Party hunting with friends
If you want to enjoy content together with friends, you can make use of the community’s party feature.

In Find Party, you can look for other users, and if you already planned to play together with a friend,
you can just make a party yourself and invite them directly.
When I play content with friends, I usually set up a party first and go from there.

Instead of hunting and growing separately, building up party EXP just feels good,

and since it really feels like you’re playing together on the same map, it helps things feel a lot less lonely or boring.
2. Boss content that’s great for growing together
If I had to recommend the single best kind of content for growing together with friends, it would be boss content.

You can challenge bosses with friends that would be hard to beat alone, and as you raise your gear and character specs with the next boss tier in mind, that shared growth goal kind of forms naturally.

Recommended Content |
Why It’s Better Together |
|---|---|
|
Bosses |
Bosses that are rough to try solo become doable when you split it 1/N! Totally doable! |
|
Boss party recruitment |
It’s convenient for finding the extra members you need |
|
Party play |
You can directly see the results of each other’s growth |
I especially like playing with one clear goal in mind, like “Next time, let’s hit the damage cutoff for this boss.”
When you go back and clear a boss that felt hard even when you first challenged it together, after both of you have grown your characters,
it’s not just that your combat power went up — you can actually feel that you’ve become stronger than before.
└ The boss HP bar drops faster
Playing bosses with friends also has a totally different kind of fun from challenging them alone.
Dodging patterns while everyone attacks, and then managing to clear with even one more person staying alive a little longer, gives you that sense of accomplishment from pulling it off together.
I think that’s the real charm of party play.
3. Let’s make use of Dimensional Battlefield too!
You need at least 2 more people to clear the boss?!
Then give Dimensional Battlefield a try..!

Dimensional Battlefield is a world-integrated boss content system (written according to the in-game label) where you can play boss content with friends and other players from different worlds.
If you and your friend are in different worlds, it’s a great way to make a party~!
I actually use Dimensional Battlefield whenever I end up running parties with friends on other servers like Luna or Croa. I’m on Scania, my friends are on Luna and Croa.. we’re basically a separated family at this point. ㅋㅋㅋ
4. Players I recommend party play for
This style of growing together with friends in MapleStory, party play, is something I especially recommend to players like these.
-
Players who started or returned around the same time as their friends
-
Players who feel burdened by challenging bosses alone
-
Players who need a clear goal for character growth
-
Players who usually play solo but want to enjoy co-op content once in a while
Maple isn’t a game where you absolutely have to do every piece of content with friends.
I actually think what makes it so easy to play with friends is that you can usually grow your characters at your own pace, and then meet up and take on something when you have a shared goal, like a boss — that’s actually why it works so well for playing with friends.
If you’re playing MapleStory with friends, why not pick one boss to try together next
and grow together toward that goal?
That’s it for this post, then.
I’ll be back next time with another game story.
This was Dalnyang!
