What mobile RPG has something to offer even when you only have time for a short session?

This time, I returned to Mabinogi Mobile after a long break to find out for myself.​

​

I plan to spend a relaxed 30 minutes to 1 hour each day working on quests and taking some time to admire my lovely character. On my first day back, I aimed for 30 minutes and started by checking out the end-of-summer events.

Claiming My Login Rewards

The first thing I did after logging in was claim my login rewards.

​

Several events were running, including “Remembering Our Summer Together,” a late-summer login event, and a welcome-back login event for returning adventurers.

It was nice to have rewards waiting for me as soon as I returned. The events were spread across several places, though, so it took a little time to work out what each one involved.

​

There were also plenty of missions I could complete just by playing, so I decided to take my time rather than try to finish everything at once.​

Quests and Photos at the Beach

Next, I took part in the “How to Stay Cool This Summer” event.

​

I spoke to 릭, the surfer on Colhen Beach, then brought him 10 herbs, 5 ticking fireflies, and 3 pieces of grilled meat. A little gathering and cooking made for a relaxed quest, and I received an Epic Alchemy Recombustion Catalyst as a reward.

After finishing the quest, I also took a photo to remember the occasion.

There was even a photo booth nearby, so I took a four-frame photo strip by myself.

Capturing these little memories with a lovely character is part of the fun of Mabinogi Mobile.

At the Romantic Beach Stall a short distance away, I could trade Summer Coins earned from hunting for various rewards. The Printed Shirt Selection Box caught my eye, at 200 coins.

Of the Nao, 칼릭스, and Lorna&Pan friend outfits, the Nao T-shirt is my pick, of course. It looks like it would go well with the dolphin shorts my character is wearing now, giving me a small goal to work toward.

Wrapping Up 30 Minutes with Fireworks

I logged in around 3 p.m. that day, and fireworks happened to be scheduled for 3:30 p.m. I explored the beach, then watched the fireworks when the show began.

The show runs at set times, so it is not always available to watch, but luckily the timing worked out for my session. With an event quest finished and some photos taken, it felt like a good point to log off.

A Little More Time with the Main Quest

But when it came time to stop, I wasn't quite ready to leave, so I continued the main quest a little longer. I picked up at Advent of the Goddess, Chapter 5: “Light and Darkness”. Seeing Nao again after so long, I thought she was as lovely as ever, and the story about uncovering 드래곤후드's conspiracy held my interest too.

In the end, I played for about 1 hour that day.

​

Playing through the main quest also let me complete daily missions and some event missions along the way.

Keeping Things Relaxed at My Own Pace

My main reservation on this first day back was that the events felt a little complicated to navigate. Bringing the rewards and missions together in fewer places would, I think, make them easier for new and returning players to understand.

Still, on this visit, simply logging in for a short while, exploring the beach, and taking photos was enjoyable. Going forward, I plan to spend about 30 minutes a day on the main quest, complete whatever daily missions I can, and play a little longer when I feel like it.

​

If you like beautiful worlds and characters and enjoy capturing memories in screenshots, this could be a rewarding way to play Mabinogi Mobile.
